So I'm hustled harder than the moment. I'm a feast on these streets gallery revolver I took for these niggas trying to take me off the block where I pointed up daily sit Bailey's out the bottle smoke man. So for those of y'all who are new to the Black Coffee Club Live, this is our hub for self mastery, man, personal development, and our trend and cultural conversations. Our focus is on helping ourselves to build the life that we truly want, man, especially as we grow and we and we evolve, especially into this new year. Today's topic is going to be hold on man, before we before we go any further on a day's topic, let me let me let me just address something real quick. So it's I'm in Ohio. I gotta tell you, I gotta get this off my chest. I'm in Ohio, and so we started having We've had some snow finally for the first time in like some years where we had a significant snow. I'd say we probably have about may be five that's somewhere between four to six inches, and it's still snowing. It's actually about to start some more heavy, heavy snow outside. So it's the first time it's really snowed in a while, you know what I mean. We haven't really had a significant amount of snow, almost so much that people are like forgetting that. We you know, we're forgetting we live in Ohio, you feel me. So we got some significant snow and I was out yesterday moving around, and it's not for me. It's not really like. I love the snow. I was born in a blizzard, you know what I mean. I'm literally a blizzard baby. I actually love the snow. I was born in March. Yeah, I love the snow, and I know to take my time in the maneuver around. I also know a day like today, which is the very first significant snow day of the year, that means I have to stay out the streets. Man, I have to stay out the streets because people don't know how to know don't know how to drive into snow. We have a pretty decent amount of immigrants in in this area of the country who you know, are not accustomed to driving in the snow, you know what I'm saying, and so on and so forth. So we have like tremendous accidents on a regular day. So a day like today where the roads are covered with snow and slush and you know, potentially ice because the temperature has been below freezing for the last couple of days. Like I know, today is not to day for me to really be outside. The most I'm gonna do is go outside and take my children's sledging if anything, you feel me. But this is the first real significant snow that we've had. So I was outside yesterday when the weather started and it wasn't really the snow. But like I said, the temperature has been below freezing for the last couple of days. And listen, man, I don't know what it is about the new people, the new people walking the earth. I don't know what it is about, like the new concepts. But I'm outside, I'm layered up you know, I have my thermal I got my thermal draws on. You feel me? I got my I have you know, my my boots with my thermal socks, gloves, hat like I'm layered up scully all of that stuff. Man, I go to home depot. And when I'm I'm going to home depot, I'm walking in with people and it's like probably like ten people that have on shorts like shorts and and crocs and and and open open open foot uh, sandals. You understand what I'm saying. Uh? And I'm looking like what you like? What is it about people? This is a conversation. We're having a conversation. Talk y'all. I want you all to talk to me. What is it about people that they feel the need to wear shorts and they need to dress for weather. That's they don't dress for the weather. What is it about wearing shorts in the snowstorm? Shorts and flip in the snowstorm. I'm asking a question, y'all, answer the question. Let's go man, salute to the hommy tars heart and I see you in a building. What's up with it? Bro? What is it about? What is it? Is it just the need to be a social deviant? Is it is it? Is it we're staging the coup, breaking from the norm. I don't know? Is it? Is it? A y'all know I'm a I'm an old school You know I'm old and you know I like I think boys of boys and girls or girls? You feel me? I like my women without paintings? Is like? What is it? Somebody helped me? Like? Help me? King Vonney eighty six said, me and mine, We tropical people. Salute to the homie King Vonnie Man. He said, we tropical people? Bro? What is it about this? Like y'all just gonna wear shorts, y'all gonna go outside, no hats? Like what am I missing? You feel me? Uh? What am I missing? Kind of local? Tu? My brother kind of local TV says I'm willing to bet a million that those folks wearing shorts were white. And he's laughing, and that's coming from the porter breaking brigrade brigade, you feel me? Other platforms saluted my brother. He said he's willing to back dollars to donuts that them was white folks. Man, Bro, what is it about? I don't understand it? Man? Like I don't get it? Like I don't get it, and I was, I was puzzled, and then I was, I was so cold. You know how if you're from Ohio or anywhere in this in this in this area, you know it gets cold and that wind Like when the wind hit you, you get angry. You feel me like you you will get cold and it's and it'll get it'll get you be angry. Salute Mike, merch man. Salute? Is that is that merch? Merch? Is that my family? Merch? What's up with you? Bro? He said? Some people love the cold comfort. I'm sure they are acclimated to that cold weather. Hmmm. They comfortable in it? Nah, man, I'm not bro like it. It was like twenty degrees eighteen degrees yesterday. Bro, you gonna come outside in some crocs when it's snowing the ground. Bro, I can't even wear crocs. Like if I'm like cooking outside or I'm doing something outside and then start raining. I can't even wear crocs outside because I slip and slide and yeah, boxing and barbecue says. I have too much melanin in my skin to answer that question. Come on, man, y'all turning this into something else. Man, I just want to know what is it about people that make them want to go outside in like shorts? Bro? And they was like, the thin I'm looking at th in basketball shorts, running shorts like bro, shorts like and a sweatshirt. Bro, it's snowing outside. It's eighteen degrees outside. What are we doing? I was appalled. Man, I'm so cold. I'm mad. Man, I'm so cold. My fingertips is cold. Bro. Like, I'm so cold, I'm upset, I'm angry. You know, it's that cold that when you sit in like you, when you make it to the car finally and you sit in the car, the first thing you do is you just you let out aloud, explicit, explicative, Like you get in the car and you say, man, mother, you feel me like you. It's man, it's it's cold. So I don't really understand that coming outside in shorts, no hats, all of that. Y'all don't get it, man, I don't get it. Salute to my family, merch man. It's all good, man, it's all good. Bro. I appreciate you sliding through, Man, I appreciate you sliding through. Man. You probably somewhere, boy, you probably get ready to head this way we're gonna have power outages and everything. You feel me, my brother Conno said, laugh out loud. Junior ain't saying nothing. But you know my statement is full proof incorrect. Bro. Yeah, I'm not here to I'm not here to justify a confirm or than not at man, you know what I mean. I'm not gonna be I'm not gonna be able to do it. Box of Barbecue said he is steering wheel, and he did cease his clutch right now. Man, it's cold, bro. Felix knwonna is Junior the artist coming in here cussing. Brian, I ain't a cuss on to seeing him curse. He coming in here cursing. He said, it's cold a f bro, Man, it's cold man, and y'all outside like I don't even like like y'all gonna have to excuse me. But like the way my balls is set up, man, like the way my life is set up. Bro. Like, no, it's cold, man, I can't be going out. Sisters, women put them got man, I'm trying not to cuss. Y'all. Put the leggings up. Put the leggings up. This ain't leggings weather. Put the leggings up. Put on some sweatpants, put on some put on some jeans, put on some y'all need to be layering up. Put the leggings up. I know y'all ain't got lazy as hell. Y'all don't be wanting to get dressed. Y'all don't be wanting to put no clothes on. Y'all done, got good and tired. Y'all wear leggings every day in your life. Every time you come outside, you put on leggings because you, y'allne got lazy. You feel me, y'allnet got lazy with the legings. Baby, it's fifteen degrees outside. Put the legends up. You understand what I'm saying. Put the legends up. Y'all need to be putting on some pants, put on some clothes, put on some stuff that's gonna keep you warm. You feel me. The legans is for around the house. Maybe where the legs to the mailbox, if that. But anyway, man, I was just trying to figure that out. I'm puzzled. I don't understand kids I'm seeing. I'm seeing kids. I'm seeing kids that look like me running outside with no colts on, and I can't get it. For the life of me, because now y'all outside with no coats on and no hats running around, But then when it's one hundred degrees outside, y'all have on scullies and hoodies, black scullies and black hoodies when it's one hundred. But now it's cold and y'all outside co song like, I just don't. I can't wrap my mind around it. Man, I can't understand it. You feel me boxing and barbecue said, we currently getting snow right now. Honestly, I enjoy the cold weather, boots, beanies and thermal weather. Yeah, bro, But anyway, man, I just had to get that off my chest. Man, I don't know what it is, but we're living in some very very very extremely interesting tons, man, extremely extremely interesting tans. All right, so let's get to it, man, let's get to it. So once again, man, this is the Black Coffee Club Live. Our focus is on us getting better. Man, I want to get better every day when you come in here and you talk to me, like we have all the distractions in the world. We can go somewhere and talk about sports, we can talk about cultural topics, we can talk about current events in music and entertainment and so on. And so forth. But when you come here, I'm literally gonna put the conversation back on you. I'm gonna put the conversation back on you and i'ma and we're gonna talk about what we can do to get better? What can you do to get better? What can you do to make sure that today is better than yesterday? And the sure that tomorrow is gonna be better than today? You feel me, that's the whole purpose. Today's topic is authenticity. It's more critical than ever. You know what I'm saying. I was just having a conversation with my brother yesterday and I told him that twenty and twenty five, like today in twenty twenty five, there is no way or no reason, no excuse for you to be running around not being your authentic self. There is no reason for you to be in places where you cannot one hundred percent be your authentic self, Like there is absolutely no reason for it, Like you in twenty twenty five, Bro, you not gonna be you? Are you kidding me? Like you not gonna be you in twenty twenty five? There is absolutely no way for you to not be or no reason for you. There's no justification for you not being your authentic self in two tho and twenty five. Staying true to who you are is a challenge. I get it. It's a challenge, you know what I mean. You got your social life, you got your professional life, you got your personal life. We got this whole new caveat we then carved out for ourselves. You got your you got your techn you got your technological life. You feel me, You got who you You got who you are in the technology realm. You know what I'm saying. You got who you are professionally, who you are personally, who you are socially like, we have all of these realms. But staying true to who you are is challenging, but it's also incredibly rewarding. Man, the more authentic you are, the more aligned your decisions, your relationships, and your overall life experience becomes. You understand, when you look, if you really truly think about it, right and you think about the people who are authentically themselves, don't they be at peace? Like, don't they really truly be at peace? I'm a i'm a i'm a i'm a Let me just talk from let me talk my time for a second. You understand what I'm saying, let me talk about talk for a second. Have y'all like we grew up. I grew up in the era of crack. I'm just about to be truthful. I know this is a this is a development conversation, and this is a self empower and a self mastered conversation. But we also we also get into some real shit from now from every now and again. I grew up in a crack era. You understand what I'm talking about. Have y'all For those of y'all who grew up in and around or grew up like me, do y'all remember or did y'all have access to or did y'all grow up around people, whether it was your auntie, uncle, cousin, some of y'all, mama, daddy, whatever, a person who was strung out on drugs and totally accepted that they were strung out on drugs and they were their authentic self in there strung out on drug behavior and conversations and activities. Did y'all did y'all experience that y'all have that? Did y'all ever? What I'm trying to say is, were you ever around crackheads who totally accepted today where crackheads. I mean, let's just we can just be real for a second. Be about the forest. Bro, Come on, bro, come on, bruh in dirty jers, brick City, Bro, bruh. You grew up around crackheads who you just knew all they go crackhead Tony. You know we had enough names like that. They're gonna crackhead Tony. Hey, y'all, get go get crackhead Tony. Ball stuck in the tree. Can't nobody climb up and go get it? Hey, man, call crackhead Tony, Go crack head Tony. Hey, crack head Tony, climb up there. Man, we got like five dollars. You feel me, Like, crackhead Tony go up there, climb up the tree. When he get up, did he knocked the ball out? But then they knocking about out? He fall out the tree and laying on his back. You feel me, y'all, get crackhead Tony the five dollars. He get up and leave like he didn't totally embrace the fact that he is who he is and he's living his authentic life and being his authentic cells. Be about Lafar said, we called them uncles and aunties. You feel me? Like, it's like the Aunks and we call them anks you know later on in like we call them aunks and aunts. Hey man, they were authentically themselves. You feel me? Kind of Local TV said, the crackheads did all small jobs around us for the low they were needed. They were a tremendous part of the echos the ecosystem of your respective cities and neighborhoods. You feel me. They were like I've said this before, but they were like mystical creatures who used to come and bestow majestical favors to us. Man. They would do stuff. Change a carburetor, man for change a carburetor for twenty dollars. You feel me in a ride across town, you know, the change of valve cover gaskets, hook your cable up, clean your gutters like all the men. It was all kinds of stuff. D Man Jr. They were if Yeah, Winston Lee, they was our family members. We was kidd We was kin to them. There's something so powerful about a person who lives that lives their authentic lives. King Vonnie, like somebody who's truly embraced who they are and they are committed to living their authentic lives like I'm gonna authentically be who I am. This is what it is, and I ain't budgeing. You understand what I'm saying. And you remember how like satisfied they were, how happy they were. You understand what I'm saying. Remember, but then also remember you had family members that was just stumped down drunks, but they had to go to work and they had to clean themselves up and pretend to be something else. Then they come home and get drunk you feel me, or when you see them, they get drunk or they get high or you know whatever. But then they clean themselves up and they got to present a different person of themselves to the world. And then we grew up thinking like that's what you're supposed to be. Man, You're supposed to operate in your in your in your closet like everybody your business ain't everybody business, and you need to be this way, and you need to hide your authentic self from everybody else. Saluted my sister Joe Delaney. Thank you so much for pulling double duty. I see you, Joe you over on the lodge on the Instagram stream and the YouTube. Thank you so much. Love y'all be sure to go show my sister Joe Delaney some love. Go visit her YouTube channel and go subscribe to on ig Joe Underscore. D E L A N E Y Salute Yoe, thank you. But yeah, so anyway, let me get back out of y'all. Y'all and pulled me into a whole different place. D Man Junior said, they'll take your sleeping animal to a resting place. They should do magical stuff, D Man, they should do magical stuff. So I'm saying, I'm not saying be like a cracke. That's not what I'm saying. That's not the purpose of this show. But what I am saying, though, is there something powerful about embracing your authentic self and presenting who you authentically are to the world. There's something about that. And the more authentic you are, the more you line yourself, the more you the more you become aligned with decisions, relationships, and having an overall better experience in your life. You feel me. I've done my research, reflected on my own journey, and I came up with basically five steps for you to literally master your becoming your authentic self and creating your blue blueprint for living authentically you understand what I'm saying. It's just five steps. I keep throwing the word around, and it wasn't resonating well with me because we've revisited this authenticity conversation probably like twenty probably like ten times in here for real, just in the last year, and I'm like, nah, I gotta go put. I got to pull something together because y'all know how I am, and I got to give you the play by play, and I got to give you what I've done and how I've done it to implement my life of living my living authentically. My people say I'm a wayward is the word I'm wayward. I am a person that is wholeheartedly, unapologetically myself. You feel me, and so my life and my experience is like a it's like a runaway back truck. Like I'm like A. I'm like A, I'm like a runaway eighteen whiller. You feel me. I'm coming. I'm coming. I'm like a runaway eighteen whiller, and you're going to encounter me. And when you encounter me, you're going to get the authentic me. Like and it's like A, it's an experience. Excuse me, it's an experience. But but you're gonna get it, and it's not going to be I'm either not talking to you or I'm giving you the full authentic me. You understand what I'm saying. So what I'm saying is, I'm not one way over here and then a different way over here. I'm not one way over there then a different way over here. You understand what I'm saying. I'm not like a person who's I'm cussing my kids out, but then I'm in the streets and I'm giving you a pass. You understand I cuss everybody out. You know what I mean. I'm not a person that I'm holding these people accountable, but then you can come with your bullshit and then I'm not gonna hold you accountable. Like now, that's not how this works. I am like authentically myself and y'all know it. Like we had conversations, y'all hear every day. We have conversations where you come in here and I'll say, ay, Joe Delaney, I'm with you, sis, but uh, I think you might want to look at this another way. You feel me or I might say, hey, d Man, that's some bullshit, bro, but you're going to I'm not going to there's no way in the world that I'm going to be this way here. But then I come somewhere else and I'm totally different. We were just in Atlanta for the LDBC reunion. Shout out to the LDBC, and we were in the Atlanta them and those of you all who encountered me in Atlanta. That's that's me, Like y'all got the that's me, you feel me like that's me. There was not a an l DBC Internet Boxing Talk representative. You understand, there's not like there's not like Junior the Truth, then the Punch Junkie, then the Black Coffee Club Live host like, nah, it's not that this is all me, and so I've really had to it's it's I've had to work to first of all, to start on this journey and then to continuously do the work that I need, you feel me, in order to create to continue. So all right, so let's let's let's get into these fire stets. I'm a gied so I can get out your way for the day and get out my own way before that, hopefully before the stock market gets too open. But the first one is to reflect on your values and your priorities. Man, this is something we've talked about. I'm gonna stop saying that every time I say this stuff. I'm gonna say it like it's the first time I've said it. Step Number one, reflect on your values and priorities. In twenty twenty five, with everything that's going on, with the onset of social media, with the politics of the land at the time, with everything that's going on on a global scale, there's absolutely no reason for you to not be totally one hundred percent in tune and fully aware of what you value most in this world. What are your core values? You have to relect reflect on your core values and your priorities. What are your priorities? And here's here's a here's a hack. Your priorities should be connected directly to your values. If your priorities are not fully are not connected to your values, then that's that's an easy way for you to understand how you're living outside of your authenticity. But the first step is you got to get crystal clear on what truly matters to you in your life. What are your core values? I told you all you know, I'm people will come to me. Somebody hit me up the other day based off that value conversation and they gave me like ten core values, and I said, that's bullshit. Get out of here, man, you're trying to you're trying to blow smoke. Bro. I'm telling you that you should focus on four. There's no way you can focus on ten core values. Ten, bro, ten core values that you are gonna use as your guiding light for your life. Ten? Come on, bro, y'all, can you starting to give me? You're trying to give me like the ten Commandments? That ain't nobody keeping you feel me? Like? Nah, man, you should have four core for me? It's four. I say four. Some people say five. I say it should be four. I like the nice, clean, even number or four. I think that you can pretty much cover your life in four values. So what are your four core values? What are the things that matter to you most? What are my core values? What brings me genuine joy, genuine fulfillment? What do I want my life to look like? You understand? Those are the things that you should be reflecting on. And I mean reflecting. You understand like we should be reflecting. My sister Tay Tay, the Real Queen of MLA and combat Talk hashtag NYC in a building. What's up with you? Love? Nah? Man? We should be really what are your What are your values? Man? Some of y'all have been here for the conversation that we had before suiting my brother whatever man in the building, and I bet y'all have not sat down and come up with those four core values. And I told you we're gonna continue to come with it. We're gonna continue to come here. You have to be in tune with your values. That's step one. As far as the implementation of that, you want to write down your talk. I'll say four four values. It could be your family, freedom, integrity, creativity, spirituality. I'm not gonna give you yours, but you gotta write down your four core values and reflect excuse me on how these values influence your daily decisions. And if your four values are not influencing your daily decisions, then that's an easy win and you can see how you're not being your authentic self in your everyday life. You might value God, uh, family, marriage and community you understand what I'm saying, or or community service you might and body you might. Those might be your core issues, right, but you have to shake your ass for cash by trade you understand what I'm saying. So how is you you spend more time shaking your ass for cash than you do with your core values? And that might be a way that you can look and identify. All right, I'm not being my authentic self. You feel me? Because if you do anything for money? Did you do anything for money? Period? If you do anything for money, then you do anything for money? In by Michael Beasley voice and he said that's nasty. But anyway, what are your core values? You got to write those down and you have to reflect on how they influence your daily decisions. On a personal note, man, I remember a time when I was trying to I felt like because we came up in this era where we had to it was go to school, get a job, get an education, go to college, get a good job. Whatever. That looked like, you feel me? And then when we graduate, when people started graduating college, right, the whole objective for us in our mindset was you want to look like success like you had to start. You had to put yourself in a position to look like success, like, Okay, what does success look like? Success looks like? You know, for us, you gotta have a Lexus or Bens you feel me. You gotta have a you know, you want to have a or or SUV. You know what I'm saying. You want to have a you want to have a you want to have an apartment, and then eventually you want a house. You know what I'm saying. You want to for as a man, you want a woman, you want her to look a certain way, like yeah, this is what success is supposed to look like. And so I was in this space where, you know, we were starting to age and I had a child early, you know, like twenty five, I was a father. But I'm looking and I'm I'm I'm trying to figure out what these my my, what what the status symbols should be? You understand what I'm saying. What should I be doing? Like you know what I'm saying, Like, all right, I want to I got an expedition and you know what I'm saying, all right, and I gotta I got a loft downtown overlooking you know what I'm saying, overlooking downtown Dayton, were looking the convention Center, in the in the in the Courthouse square, you know what I'm saying. And and you know it's cool, and I'm down here and I live with you know, city officials and state representatives and blah blah blah blah blah. And I got the you know, the car and you know, I you know, I was a player, but I was you know, I was engaging in them activities, you know, in the activities of of courting different women, and you know, and I drank wine, you know what I'm saying. So you know, I drank wine. And I was just trying to figure out what the what the what my status symbols were going to be, you understand what I'm saying. But then it just hit me one day and I realized that those symbols and the things that I was choosing, the status symbols, it didn't align with my values, you know what I'm saying, Like like my values of of authenticity, my values of of being you know, a authentically myself, my values of family. At the time, like I said, I was a father, So like that stuff, it wasn't really aligning with who I was. You understand what I'm saying. Yeah, I drink Yeah, be about a ference. I drank wine. Bro with my pinky up. I was a wine snob, you know what I'm saying. Shaking the glass, looking at the legs and on the wine. I was one of them. You feel me like I drank wine, you know what I mean. I went to wine tastings, the real wine tastings where they spit the wine out in the bucket. You know that all that goofy shit had a subscription of Wine Enthusiast magazine and all that. You feel me? But then I just realized that that really really didn't align with who I was. Man, I'm just a I'm a man. I'm a I'm country bro. You feel me, I'm my blood is in the soil, yo. Man, I'm a Shockta Indian from Waynesboro, Mississippi. Man, that's my blood line. You feel me like I'm I'm yeah man. And I just realized that stuff wasn't a lining with who I was, And that was a wake up call for me to really truly read the find my priorities and what I really believed in. You understand what I'm saying, y'all, drop y'all in the chat. It's time to just stop. Well, let me remind you, let me, let me. Let me do it this way. First of all, it's time to stop looking at me. Stop just looking at me support the live stream. Be sure to hit the like button subscribe if you not subscribe, If you over on Instagram, come on and make your way over to the to YouTube man to come hit the subscribe button. Also, the content is not monetized, so you can feel free to support the stream via cash app money Signed Junior the Truth on cash app, you can see you can come over send a dollar you feel me, but you can feel the client and support the live stream, especially if this is helping and you're going to be able to grow from this. So step number two is you got to practice self awareness and mindfulness. Man, you have to practice self awareness and mindfulness. You have to really work it, cultivating and understanding yourself. Like you gotta spend some time with you. I don't know, you know, I know some of y'all got real super busy, hyper busy schedules or whatnot. I don't know when you schedule in yourself time, but you have to spend time with you. You have to be cultivating a deeper understanding of yourself, regular self reflection. Some of you might journal. You understand what I'm saying. You might want it for my taxtile, my textile people. You might want a journal. Some of us meditate, you know what I mean, Especially if you're you know, working spiritually and you're doing spiritual works. You might do meditation. But you have to pay attention to your thoughts, to your emotions, to your reactions without judgment, without being judgmental of yourself. You feel me. But you in order to do that, you're gonna have to have an understanding of yourself, and you have to be and you have to be consumed with gaining a deeper understanding of yourself in those moments, and I speak about the silent moments that nobody really likes, those silent moments, those moments where we fill the air with noise, we fill the air with the television, we fill the air with music, we fill the air with streaming or scrolling on social media. We feel the silence. You have to embrace that silence and use that silence as an opportunity for you to literally dive in and had gained a deeper understanding of yourself, you understand be about the farm said where there? He said, where the where the whiskey and Reggie at That was for peons at that time, Bro, that was for the commoners. Bro that was for the peons. That was for peasants. You feel me. I was drinking wine. I still smoked cigars, but I was drinking wine. Bro. It was cigars and wine. Bro, whiskey and Reggie was for the peasants. Saluted my brother Drew Titan LLLLC in a building. What's up with you, Bro? Salute to you. Yeah, my brother be about the farns. He just oh, he just took a big swing. He said, a lot of people are scared to be alone with their own thoughts. And I'm telling you, in order to live authentically and to be who you really are, to be your authentic self, You're gonna have to embrace the opportunities to have that alone time with yourself and be with your thoughts. You feel me. You're gonna have to remember, for those of y'all that have been following the platform, remember I used to record a lot of content. I used to live stream. I used to do all of that from my vehicle. Remember, you used to get a lot of You used to get a lot of content from the van or from the car, or me being on the move or whatever the case. Remember you used to get a lot of that and not no more. You know why, because I'm alone in the majority of those instances, and I spend that time really reflecting and being with myself. For the better part of the last probably two maybe two and a half years, I've been spending that time really reflecting on who I am. You feel me, thinking, thinking, no music, no distractions, no phone calls, just really reflecting on who I am and spending that time with myself, getting lost in my thoughts and then bracing my thoughts and becoming comfortable with who I really truly am at the core. You feel me, But you're gonna have to get a deeper understanding of who you are. So the implementation that is, you're gonna start simple. Man, Just carve out I say, ten minutes every day, Just do ten minutes, Come on, man, ten minutes to sit quietly, concentrate on breathing, your deep cleansing breaths, and observe your thoughts. What are you thinking about? And allow yourself for ten minutes to just get lost in your thoughts and then pay attention to who you are and your thoughts. If journaling is more your style, and go ahead on and just do like a brain dump. Do ten minutes every night at the end of the night, or you know, eat at the end of the day sometime at night and just dump your thought do a journal and just dump your thoughts. Reflect from the day and dump your thoughts. But focus on your feelings. Focus on your feelings and your thoughts around your emotions and how you felt and your experiences and so on and so forth. But self awareness and mindfulness is the second step. So this is key. The first step is reflect on your values and your priorities. Number two is practice self awareness and mindfulness. Number three is you got to align your actions with your values. Once you identify your core values, I say, your four core. Once you identify your four core the real work is gonna be making the decisions that reflect them. I said this to other No, this is all new. I ain't gonna say that no more. I should be able to look at you based on your decisions. I should be able to look at you, and I should be able to see what you value. I'm gonna bring you down for a second. My brother Drew, I can look at my brother Drew, Titan can look at him. First time, first time I met Drew, I grabbed him and hugged him, when I first seen him in person, I had already met him. Of course, we've known each other for years. The man has supported me in ways I can't even really express to you all. It's my brother. So when I first seen my brother, I'm like, I grabbed my brother and hugging. I look at my brother, and my brother looks like what he values. He looks like he values health and fitness. That's what he looks like. He looks like he values health and fitness as a forty some year old man. He looks like he's intentional with his health and his fitness. But bring my brother be about a farns. Be about a farns down. When you look at my brother, be about the farns, he looks like what he he values. I'm looking at my brother, be about the farns. And he's into holistic wellness, and he's into too, literally like living close to the ancestors. And he has a spiritual He has a spiritual or about himself. And so I look at the brother when he built his pull up bar in his backyard, and I look at him go out and do pull ups, and it don't look like because he always got on sweatshirts or something. So he kind of looked like, you know, it's just a brother out there doing what he do. But then I'm looking at him do the fool on the pull up bar, and I say, damn, that motherfucker scrawl. You understand what I'm saying. The brother looks like what he values. We should be able to look at you and your decisions should reflect what it is that you value. That's what it looks like on a day in the day out basis. And so your task for number three is going to aligning your actions with your values, your core values, your four core that's the real work. Everyday decisions should reflect them. This might mean changing careers if you're a scripper and that's not what you value, come on, man. It might be setting new goals. You might need to take the goals that you have, ball them up and set a whole new set of goals for yourself. It might be simply learning to say no. You might have to say no. That's a big one for me. I really feel like now with the way that I am and what I value right and how I am and how I and I allow that to dictate how I move around the world right, And I have gotten into this space where my presence is a present. You're welcome, you feel me? So if I actually show up and this is a present, this live stream, like this is for me, This is a present, like this is your presence? Here is a present? You feel me? I got be about at Farns, Drew Titan Luccini in a building, A b is here like King Vanney eighty six. Come on, Joe Delaney, Taite is here, my sister Shade girl here like the women love me like they here. That's a present, your presence and players ball here. Your presence is a present. You feel me? So like yeah, that's that's that's yeah. Y'ad get that sound bite be about a Farns. I need that. Get that sound bite, bro, y'all all welcome to these sound bites. But nah, man, like, like my presence is a present. So if i'm if I'm there, like that's a big deal. And and with that being said, you don't understand how much stuff I say no to, Like I say no to everything, like I'm I'm it's to the point now, especially like my family they don't even ask me to come to stuff no more like they don't even be asking me to come to stuff. It be stuff like if you want me somewhere, you gotta get one of my aunties to call me. Like my aunties gotta call me and ask me to be somewhere. Other than that, man, it ain't all my cousins and shit that now, that ain't gonna do. It's like my aunt ties or like my my baby brother or my aunt ties. You feel me and occasionally if you call me and it's about the kids, occasionally I'll pop up or the kids. You gotta get the kids. All my little cousin's, nieces and nephews if you call me, if they call me, I'm near. But all you are you grown ashy mother? Nah man, if you call me man, it's a rat bro. Yeah. My presence I'm gonna get. I'm gonna I'm gonna make that T shirt today, Drew. My presence is a present, you welcome. I'm gonna put that on the T shirt, Drew. I'm gonna do that today. My presence is a present you welcome. Yeah. But anyway I am. So that's kind of where where I am, you know, that's kind of where I am with it. I think that I think that, man, your actions are supposed to they supposed to, man, they supposed to. This is hard, man, because when you really, really truly realize what you value, then you'll stop spending time doing stuff that you don't value. Bro Like, you'll stop spending time around that stuff, and you're gonna lose people. You're gonna lose friends, You're gonna lose family like, You're gonna lose those relationships. But for the implementation, man on one trip tip for this is, before committing to anything, ask yourself, does this align with my values? Does this align with my values? If not, then give yourself permission to declineate. That's simple, you feel me? Does this align with my values? Does this align with who I am? Two? One six shadow? I see you in the building. What's up with you? Hummy? Does this align with my values? Does this align with the person that I am and the person that I'm aspiring to be? And if the answer is no, then you give yourself permission to decline. That's just That's just it. I used to say personal personally, I used to say yes to everything. People ask me stuff, Yeah, back, yeah, any event, any project, anything, I was there, even if it didn't even if it didn't align with me. You know what I'm saying, a homie, be like, call me, hey, man, I ain't you know? Today was rough? It's been having a rough week. Man, Let's go to butt Naked Tuesday. You feel me, Man, I despise the strip clubs. I despise the strip clubs. You feel me. I despise them. I've despised strip clubs forever, you understand. And the times that I have been in the strip club strip clubs, I've not It wasn't me, you know, it was I didn't want to be there. You feel me for the most part, Like I don't like strip clubs. I was there, you know, being social or kicking it with my homeboys or whatever the case may be. And that's the truth. And so but anyway, I started declining stuff, man, I was declining events. I was declining parties. I realized if you asked me to do something and I have to ask a question like, hey man, who are gonna be over there? You feel me? The mere fact that I have to ask who's going to be over there? Means that there's something that that's something I probably shouldn't be doing. That's a place I probably don't belong you feel me. And so I just literally started saying no. And saying no was tough, man, it was difficult, But I liberated myself. I liberated myself from those obligations, and then I liberated my schedule to do things that truly matter. You feel me. Like for those of you all who have been around, you understand what we do at the platform. You understand it different, the different legs that this thing has grown. That that doesn't come because I'm everywhere. That doesn't come because I say yes to stuff and I'm here and I'm there and I'm everywhere. No that says that that what that The way that that occurs is that I have time to spend concentrated effort in the lab producing this and producing that and producing this because I said no to stuff, because I made the conscientious decision to change careers. I left a lucrative career in higher education. I still tell y'all, I'm the greatest post secondary educator in the world. And I stopped being a post secondary educator in a formal fashion in order to embark on this journey that where we are now, you feel me. So there was things that I had to literally change and say no to this is I'm not just telling you something I didn't heard. I'm telling you what I've been done. You have to align your actions with your values. You have to. And I'm not gonna tell y'all. I'm not gonna tell y'all my four core values today, but I will be sharing my four core values with you all, and it's not gonna be today. But all right, Number four, this is gonna be a difficult one, but we hear now. You have to cultivate authentic relationships. Like I told my partner in yesterday, in twenty twenty five, it is absolutely no reason for y'all to be having fake friendships and fake relationships with people who don't mess with you. It is no reason for you, on the other end, in twenty twenty five, for you to be around people that you don't mess with for you to have this. And I don't care who it is, bro, I don't care who it is. I don't care what type of formal relationship that y'all have. If you don't mess with them, they don't mess with you. Why are you spending time around around I'm not messing with that. Salute to my homie whatever man in the building. There's absolutely no reason in twenty twenty five for you to be around people or half people around you that don't mess with you. If I can't call you when times is tough and you come help me figure some shit out, what I need you around for. If I'm on hard times and you don't call me to check on me, and you know I'm in hard times, you know I got some shit going on, you know that it's going down all around me, and you ain't called me to check on me, Are you nuts? I don't need you around. I've been it's been situations here where I've recently where I've been like sick. I've been sick as far as like with COVID or cold or the flu or something, and I'm down sick and I don't lie stream for a few days. Do you understand how many people from the community, from this community will call me or text me or dem me and say, hey, man, just checking on you, brother, you all right? Like I've had probably one hundred people during the time of me being sick or since COVID, We'll say that I probably had one hundred people at some point in time reach out to me and say hey man, you're straight, You're good. Just checking on you. You know how many of my family members have caught like my blood relatives have called me and say, hey man, you good. It wasn't a hundred. Wasn't a hundred? You feel me, There's absolutely no reason for you in twenty twenty five to not have a not be cultivating authentic relationships. Authenticity is not just about you. It's not just about you. I know. We like to take it, we like to internalize it, we like to personalize it, and we like to make it all about us, like, Oh, I'm authentic, I'm authentically me raw Like, it's not just that. Authenticity is not just about you. It's about people who surround you. It's about surrounding yourself. It's about the people you surround yourself with. You have to seek relationships that allow you to be vulnerable and to express your true self. Why am I around somebody? I can't really be my real self with? Are you crazy? Like I can't really be Calvin? You feel me, I gotta be somebody else? No, you feel ain't no way. There's no way in the world that I'm gonna be around somebody. Why I can't really be my authentic self. I can't say, ay, Bro'm hurt. I can't say, man, it's messed up. Hey man, bro, I don't like that you feel me and or I can't say anything to you because of the way you handle me or the way we handle each other. And I can say I can't say, hey man, I don't like that. Hey bro, you're on some whole shit like. I can't do that. There's no reason for me to be around a person like that. You have to be able to express your true self within any relationship that you have the implementation port. You just set boundaries with toxic individuals and protect your individual Now, I'm not gonna go all off into it and give y'all no examples and all that kind of stuff. You know, y'all got toxic individuals in your family. You know you got toxic people at work. You got toxic people in your neighborhood, toxic neighbors. You got people who you might be the toxic person you feel me, you might need to set boundaries with yourself because you toxic. But at the end of the day, we're not gonna I'm not gonna go off like we It's twenty twenty five, it's time for us to stop playing. You know exactly what I'm saying when I say that there are toxic individuals in and around or around you. You might be married to one. You have to set boundaries. You have to set boundaries to protect your energy. And you have to build a support system of like minded folks who value transparency. Man, who value literally value transparency, authenticity, kindness, reciprocity. You know, you have to value people or have people around you who have similar values to what you have to. My brother Thomas few Senior says, set boundaries or cut ties. Sometimes you got to do both. You understand what I'm saying, because just because you cut ties with people doesn't necessarily mean that they don't actually have access to you. Because people still have access to you via social media. Everybody's looking. So now you got to set boundaries with social media you feel me, Set boundaries with yourself, set boundaries with the information that you just share to the world. You feel me, set boundaries. You have to set boundaries and sometimes definitely cut ties. Yeuh yuh Ab said he had to switch He said I had to switch states on them. He had to switch states on them. Man when I started living on a personal note, when I started living more authentically and I started really being who I am you feel me and presenting that as the world. Like I said, my whole my career changed. My life changed personally, romantically, like everything changed when I really truly started being my authentic self and I stopped sending my representative. I had friendships that fell off, Man, I'm not gonna hold you close friendships. Close friendships, man, Close friendships that just fell off. You feel me. It hurt, but also it made space for me to have deeper connections with people who are have similar journeys as to mine. I'm not interesting. I'm not interested in faking nothing. I'm not interested in presenting to be one way. I'm not interested in having surface level fake ass relationships. I'm not interested in being active in fake ass organizations and and and uh, fake bourgeois boulet asque relationships and organizations like. I'm not interested in those. I don't. I don't. I can't have none of that fake fraud shit around me, man, I couldn't. I can't have it. I can't have family members who call me to be messy or who don't genuinely care, They just being nosy, and so I can't have that around me. I need genuinely ununtainted authenticity and genuine care and concern, and I have to be around people who are like minded. I was just I was literally yesterday, I said, like, when I really thought about it, I probably have like three three people who even have any similar thought process as me when it comes to that, probably three. And it's and they're not who you and they're not who you would think they are. You feel me? Players, Boss said, thanks June, not in one, not in one, ear out the other piece. Y'all salute family, salute to you players. But I appreciate you. Man. This is a good time for me to tell y'all once again, let me reiterate, cultivate authentic relationships. Man. That's step four. That's step four. And this is a good time for me to once again tell y'all to quit looking at me and support the stream. You feel me, y'all, quit just looking at me and support the stream. Man. The fake ones they gonna show. Salute to my brother Brent Fox in the building. What's up? What you brought? Salute? To your family. Salute the hard hit of five sports and entertainment, my brother, five or three line in the building. What's good with your family? Salute to you? So that will step forward, man, cautivate relationship. So let me let me go through, let me go through one more time. For you're ready to get up out of here, I gotta go. Number one was reflect on your values and priorities. Number two was practice self awareness and mindfulness. Number three was align your actions with your values. Number four is to cultivate authentic relationships. And then number five is literally embracing continuous growth and self compassion. Like you have to embrace continuous growth like you are like authenticity. Man, it's a journey. And if you notice the way I've talked about it, it is a continuous, constant journey. It's not a destination. You don't get there and then you just oh, I'm my authentic self. Rah. No, it is a constant journey. You gonna make mistakes, you gonna face setbacks, you gonna you gonna and you're gonna evolve over time. The person that I am today was not the person I was three years ago. And the person I was three years ago wasn't a person I was six years ago. You feel me like, I'm going to evolve you and you're gonna face setbacks, and I'm sitting there like even to myself, I just had a situation. It was a I think it was yesterday or day before yesterday. Why I really should have checked somebody's temperature and I didn't. And I'm mad at myself because like, man, ooh, I should have you hear me in that minute, In that moment, I felt like I wasn't I wasn't being my authentic self and I let something slide that I shouldn't have let slide. And I gotta give myself. I gotta reflect on that, and I gotta give myself compassion, Like all right, man, you know what I mean. I'm a face. You're gonna face setbacks. But at the end of the day, you have to embrace the fact that this is growth. You gotta think of think of as far as the way you implement it. You gotta think of mistakes as stepping stones. You gotta reflect, you gotta learn, and you gotta move forward. And then you also you have to celebrate small wins and don't beat yourself up for your imperfections, you know what I mean, Like, you gotta don't beat yourself up over but you have to embrace continuous growth. And we're talking about about mastering authenticity in twenty twenty five, you're going to embrace your continuous growth as it relates to that. As for me, like, I'm far from perfect, man, family, i am far from perfect, Like I'm far from ideal, I'm not even I'm just like I'm just like really taking a step in the direction where I'm trying to get to bro I'm not I'm not nowhere near where I'm trying to get. But I've learned to love the journey. Like it's not like you have to understand even with a journey. And we've talked to let me stop saying this. When you think about a journey and you think about traveling, right, and you think about a trip, it's not about the destination, man, think about it like, it's not about the destination as far as when you think about a journey, it is lit or a trip, it's about the journey. It's about the journey. When I drive places and I go places and I'm I'm going out when I drive to Atlanta, if I'm going to Atlanta. For it's not about me getting to Atlanta. It's about the journey. It's about me leaving Ohio and going through Kentucky and starting to get into the mountains. Then I'm going through the Tennessee Mountains and I'm looking at all this Indian land. And then i come out of Tennessee and I'm in Georgia and I'm driving through the through the mountains in Georgia down into the flat land. Like you know what I'm saying, Like, it's about the journey. It's not about the destination. It's about the journey. And that's what this thing is, man, this is totally one hundred percent about the journey. Your authenticity and you mastering authenticity in twenty twenty five is going to be about you answering the call being intentional, like like Joe Delaney said the other day, I mean not the other day earlier, And it's about you being intentional and just making a decision that this is like I'm not bro I got to be my authentic self. It's twenty twenty five. There's no reason why I can't be me. And it's about that, and it's about making the decision to literally go off and embark on that journey.
