Hey, man, so top of the day, grab your grab your your your coffee, man or your favorite morning beverage. And let's get up. Let's let's let's let's get up and get busy. This, of course, is a is A is an unscripted So I want to have a for real, just honest conversation. And I'll share with you the inspiration for this conversation that I want to have. Man, I walk up thinking about something that's probab probably gonna make people uncomfortable. Man, you feel me and I and I really went to bed thinking about it. I've been thinking about it for the past few days. If I'm if I'm gonna tell the truth, and I'm gonna make some people uncomfortable. But it's all right, you know what I mean. That's that's I'm built for it, That's what it is. I never I've never built this platform to make people comfortable anyway. So the you know, the pure essence of the content and this, this, this, these conversations's for you to be uncomfortable. So it's cool, like we we we we're good. We're we're good, and we're good. I built this platform to make people think. You understand what I'm saying. And I built a platform for us to think. And I built a platform for us to literally take a look at ourselves and take a look at you know, what it is that we're doing. Take a look at how we're handling ourselves, take a look at how we're handling others, take a look at how we're handling our responsibilities in our lives. You feel me, So I'm gonna speak my truth. Here's today's here's my truth. I absolutely detest celebrity culture. Don't know if you knew that or not. I absolutely detest celebrity culture. I don't detest celebrities, at least not all of them. There are quite a few that I do detest, but I don't necessarily detest celebrities as people. I detest celebrity culture. There's like a there's a difference. You feel me. I don't really detest the people because the majority of them I don't know, like I don't know them personally. You feel me. I don't hate the people, you know what I'm saying. I do feel that there are a lot of people who are gifted, Like a lot of them are are are gifted. Some of them are are incredibly disciplined, you know what I'm saying, and some of them have have actually earned every bit of success that that that they and that they have. That's not my issue. You understand what I'm saying. Uh uh, that's that's that's that's not my issue. My issue is with a culture that convinces millions and millions and millions of of of us ordinary people. Ain't there what John Legen said, which is ordinary people may be glad, I can't sing, we don't know which way to go. Looking at the. Convinces millions and millions of ordinary people to invest more energy into someone else's life than they invest into their own. I need you to think about that, because that's are you up? Are you up? My issue is with a culture that convinces millions and millions of ordinary people to invest more energy into someone else's life than they invest into their own. Think about that, man. I'm trying not to curse, but shit, we hear you. Motherfuckers know celebrities birthdays, You know celebrities relationship statuses. You know celebrity divorces, you know celebrity net worth, you know celebrity vacations. You know celebrity feuds and beasts. You know celebrities Instagram posts, like but you you can tell me about a celebrities networth, but you cannot tell me how much money is in your retirement account. You go bicker with somebody else, like go play with somebody else, You feel me like, you can tell me about a celebrities net worth and how much money. They made last year, but you cannot. Tell me how much money is in your in your retirement account. You couldn't tell me how much debt you owe. You feel me. You can't tell me what your monthly expenses are. You can't tell me the last meaningful conversation you had with your spouse. You can't tell me you motherfucker's running around here. Don't even know what day school starts on this year. You can't tell me the last meaningful conversation you had with your kids. And I'm telling you, you know what I mean, like family. I'm just I can't do nothing but be honest, and I can't do nothing but shoot this shit straight to you. I can't do nothing but shoot it straight. I add soolutely detest celebrity culture. And like I told you all that stuff. I just said, you can tell me about motherfucker's network, but you can't tell me how much money is in your retirement account. And it's just something about that that just does not sit right with me. It just don't jive with me. Let's get it one. So I'm hustled harder than the moment. I'm a feast on these streets. Got a revolver I told for these niggas trying to take me off the block where I points. Up daily Bailey's the bottle smoke. Hey man say man once again, man shout out to the most intentional morning circle on the planet. Man, salute to you all. Thank y'all so much. Man. Yeah, this is this is I gotta travel tomorrow. So this is indeed the last show of the week, so we wanted to go ahead on and do an unscripted man and get that in and have a for real conversation. Salute to King Vonnegetty six, what's up with your homie? Shout out to you, La la I da in a building? What's up with you? Boxing and barbecue in a building? What's going on? Did y'all hear what I said? Though? I said that motherfuckers be so enthrowed into celebrity culture that you can tell me a celebrities net worth, but you can't tell me what's in your retirement account. You can't tell me how much that you owe. You can't even tell some people. You can't even tell me your your mortgage payment amount. But you got the nerve to talk to me about celebrity culture. I'm gonna tell you why this is and and this is going to like you know, I'm old man, I'm a generation exert So this is this is what it is, and this is gonna resonate with some of you all. It ain't some of y'all it ain't gonna resonate with so fuck it, we hear you feel me? So one of the things and I've had this conversation with with with recently with some folks. I was talking to you actually, and one of the things that that kind of triggered this, right, it triggered this, what's that listen to me? So I'm i'm, I'm, I'm I'm listening to I'm looking at I am looking at these recent concerts, right, and people running to go, you know, to concerts. It started with the Beyonce ship when motherfuckers was spending thousands and thousands of dollars to go to Beyond to go to a Beyonce concert. Right, I'm right, man, Okay, you know. It seems to be a bit much to me, but okay, saluting my sister Queen said anyone, she said, I got my coffee, let's go, And I'm like all right. Then the recent the recent jay Z had the concerts in New York City and people just going out you feel me, and going out to go see you know, the jay Z concerts, and you know, I think one of them he ended up being like really really late, like it was really late, and people were out there standing out there for like two and three hours waiting, you know what I'm saying. And so on and so forth, and I'm just looking and people weren't leaving and stuff, and I'm thinking in my mind, like, man, what the fuck? Where? What the fuck are we doing? Do you understand if I show up to a concert and it starts at eight and that month fuck ain't started by like eight thirty, and I'll give you nine maybe, Nigga, I'm out y'all standing outside waiting for hours and hours and hours. Man, it ain't that much concert in the world, you feel me. But then this was the one that really let me know that we had a problem. This is the one that really let me, uh, let me know that we really had a problem. Right now, this is not me. I'm not telling y'all to go big. There said Lauryn Hill too, boy, Lauryn He'll be on some shit. Lauryn, He'll be on some shit. Lauryn Hill was latest fuck to a concert and I did a video about it a few years back. And then she went up there and she chastised the crowd about y'all lucky I even came. And I'm thinking, bitch, what, respectfully? What what? Man? You just don't understand if you knew what I was going through, And blah blah blah, mo fucker every everybody going through everything. You feel me, you don't get No, there's no that's like me saying today, you know, we started to show late, and that's like me coming in here telling you all that I literally appre well, I'm telling you that I literally appreciate your presence here and I appreciate your attention. This is my currency. You feel me. But it's like me coming up here and telling y'all that y'all lucky I did the show today because you just don't know what I'm going through. So just the mere fact that I'm here for you to support me, is you better be glad that I'm even I even showed up for you to support me. Yeah. Crazy, that sound, but we are enthrow with celebrity. Celebrity culture. But this is the one that did it for me, man, And this is when I knew we really had a problem. Respectfully, I'm finished. Step on some toes. Some of y'all gonna get mad at me. That's cool. You feel me when you hey man, it's hey shit, hey man, Scotch. The old men said, scratch your ass and get glad you feel me. The new the jeezy concerts, right. So I'm looking at all these middle aged people go to the the the jeezy concert. Salute the Jeff Spark. Jef Spark said, Kat Williams showed up two hours later at the bar to the Barclay, I went home. You feel me, king, Vonnie said reflund Gang. But that's on my soul. So I I'm looking and all of these people are going to the Jeezy concert, right, And everybody's dressing up formally and putting on going and getting tuxedos and and and and and dressing formally to go to the JEZ concert to hear this motherfucker rap about selling dope. Songs that are are twenty five years old. Man, I noticed, I'm old, man, So it's gonna sound like I'm old and I'm hating. But do you understand, like, motherfuckers, it's motherfuckers that. Do you realize that it's people there and men there, And I'm talking about people I know personally, your daddy, your papa, your daddy, people around you. Men have been telling you like y'all don't even own suits, and men have been telling you for years like man, go get a suit, man, go get you a suit. You need to have a suit, you know. Blah blah blah blah blah. I don't want no suit. I don't wear a suit, man. I'm just cool and dickies and jeans and blah blah blah. Motherfuckers don't even own suits. And people been telling you for years, may get you a suit. Bro, you don't own a suit and you go rent a tuxedo to go to a jezy concert. That's where we at the world. Man, my life is, my laugh is died for our sniper. What's up with you, hommie? That's where we're at in the culture. You feel me, salute to for our snipe man coming through blessing the chat man with the teen with. The gold coins. Man, he got us dripping salute to my brother man, thank you so much. Nah, like we do you hear what I said? Like, motherfucker? Is this. Going to go rent tuxedos to go to a concert to listen to a man rap about selling drugs? You feel me the same songs from twenty years and when your grandmama died, you wore jeans and Air Force ones. You buried your grandmama and jeans and Air Force ones. I hope that sting. If I said that and I hit you and you holler, I hope it hurt. That's where we are with celebrity colts. So when I see this, I'm an, y'all don't know about this, man, I don't know about this. And men taking their cameras out and filming themselves and doing all the rapping the ship, this motherfucker rapping about selling dope. And you got on a tuxedo and you don't own a suit. And when your grandmama passed, your punk ass had on Dickies. Queen said. He once said, you should have at least one suit. What are you interviewing for a job, then, Apolo and Dickies. You didn't know Apolo and Khakis. I've interviewed. I've interviewed plenty of them. I've interviewed plenty of men. Show up in a in a in a Paulo in khakis. Yeah, you ain't. No, So that's when I knew we had a problem. Man. All right, man, some about this shit just don't sit right with me. You feel me now? Once again, Man, I love everybody. I'm not ostracizing anybody, but I'm literally a salute to the grinder, man, what's up with you? Bro? Let's get to it, man, because I need to bring this home and I'm gonna take my time. You know what I'm saying. I ain't gonna I ain't gonna rush through this one. Like jen X man, we gotta, we gotta, we got up. We got a problem. We got a problem. So let's bring it to Generation X. Like I'm talking to us, we have a problem. We have like we have. Let me tell you something about us. We are at a space right now in our life, Queen, talk to the people. We are at a space right now in our life where we have real problems. You feel me, real responsibilities, real obligations. Many of us like we in our we in our forties, late forties, fifties. You understand what I'm saying. We're helping with our ageing parents. We're helping our adult children, were paying mortgages, were trying to prepare for a retirement that we're not ready for, were managing all this debt that we didn't took on. Motherfuckers, were still playing paying student loans. Do you understand what I'm saying. We trying to stay healthy because people around us that we grew up with are dropping like flas you understand what the motherfuckers We used to play a hide and seek duck duck goose. You feel me like motherfuckers is dying, They dying dropping dropping dead. Yeah, yeah, So we're trying to stay healthy. We're trying to hold our marriages together. You understand what I'm saying. We're trying to build businesses. Were trying to remain relevant at work, you know what I mean. We're trying to to stay on top of all of this technology that's coming that's coming down the pipeline, you understand. And we were trying to maintain our peace insanity like motherfuckers is getting squeezed at every single direction. And yet our phones, in our lives, you don't understand what I'm saying, are. Filled with gossip, like gossip. Like come on, family, you gotta tell me, like literally, you gotta tell me, right. And a lot of us are enthrowed in or come from or have come out of the boxing community. So you know, we we like we see we really see this salute the thrive and glow with Joe. But you see it in in in man. Your phones are full of gossip, so you gotta tell me salud my brother be about a France. He said, good morning. Are you still bullshit? Te bullshit? Family? Tell me how is knowing who unfollowed who help help you with your fucking retirement? How does knowing who unfollowed who on social media help you with your retirement? Because do you know how stupid that shit be sounding to me? Man? I can't even explain it. You understand. You got to tell me how another celebrity scandal is paying off your credit card? You feel me like you have? Tell me how spending hours arguing online about who who, who is who? And who shot who? And who's at fault and who's what? How is spending two hours arguing online make you a better husband or a better man? Like this is me and I'm talking about bro and you online argue one about. Some athletes like Bro? What the fuck is wrong with you? How is that help you become a better man, a better husband, a better father, a better uncle, a better brother, a better leader in your community? It don't. You feel me? It don't. It does not, man, And we have gotten into this space where we have glorified and even more dangerously, we have normalized. Or maybe it's vice versa. We've normalized and it might be more dangerous that we actually glorified distraction. Yeah, then you wonder why your life lacks direction. Wonder why your life lacks and lacks direction. King Vonnie says, it sounds incredible when you say it aloud. Queen said, Diane get legs amputated, because they ain't taking care of themselves on dialysis, because they ain't taking care of themselves having heart attacks in their forties, because they ain't taking care of themselves. And you got the nerve to be on here talking to me about who unfollowed who on social media? Men and shit crazy. And when I come in here and I'm telling y'all, nah, man, we got attend to us first, first order of business. You got attend to you first, first thing in the morning. Why are you up gossiping about celebrities, professional athletes, boxers, basketball players. Why are we gossiping about that shit? Yeah? Man, it's crazy. The messenger of one night. I want salute homie. I don't think I spoke to you. I and seeing you in here, I'm going back through the chat. If I didn't speak to you, man, I apologize, y'all. I'm I was over here and took off. Yeah. Man, but you you engage in all that, then you wonder why your life lacks direction? You feel me? And here is what the celebrity culture really sells. Here's what it really sells. Attention, not entertainment, attention. You feel me? Do you realize it's so bad that? And let me let me, let me, let me dip my let me dip my big toe back in the box conversation for a second. Take tey, what's up with you? You realize that there are fighters who are popular right and they don't They don't even have to fight anymore. All they have to do is get online and say something controversial, and they will shut down the Internet with a whole bunch of men talking about something that they did on Twitter for for weeks, you understand, for weeks. Will spend weeks of their lives talking about something that a fighter said online. So an example, Tank Davis is inactive. Tank Davis is a very popular fighter for those that don't know. Everybody doesn't know boxing, so you know what I mean, people are listening to this javante. Tank Davis is a very popular fighter, undefeated record, he. Has one draw. You know, so on and so forth. Tank has been inactive because he's been dealing with legal issues and so on and so forth. Tank's m is that he'll if a fighter fights, and it ain't just Tank, it's a whole bunch of fighters. But if a fighter fights, it could be anybody and it's getting a lot of attention. Tank will go on social media and say something about that fighter, and automatically it's zero people zero in on what he says. Now, I'm talking about particular in this instance, but it's not just him. This is like the new blueprint for the sport. So you don't have to fight, or you don't have to sign contracts and actually box. You can just have activity on social media and these gossiping ass men and people who are covering the sport will take what you said and make you popular. Celebrity culture really sells attention, not entertainment. It's attention. The entertainment is these motherfuckers in here giving us the best fights. That's not what they're selling. They're selling attention. Every headline, every rumor, every controversy, every viral clip, all of that shit. Yeah, and all of that shit is competing for the most valuable thing it's the most valuable thing that you own. One of the most valuable things you own, and that's your attention. Because whatever captures your attention eventually shapes your thinking. Did you hear what I said? Whatever captures your. Attention eventually shapes your thinking, and whatever shapes your thinking shapes your decisions, and your decisions become your life. Did you see what I just did there? Your attention. Whatever captures your attention eventually shapes your thinking. Whatever shapes your thinking shapes your decisions, and your decisions become your life. That's why I am extremely protective of my attention. You feel me. If I go somewhere and I see a bunch of messy shit, I slid. If it's a lot of bickering, sli. If it's a lot of gay shit, respectfully, I slide. It's a whole bunch of messy shit, I sly, sly, because I know attention becomes identity. Now watch this be about a Farnce Saluta, Felish Neonaz, my brother coming in blessing, the chat with. The Jews, with the bedazzles. I appreciate you family, Thank you so very much, man, Thank you so very much for supporting the content man, Thank you, So I know that attention becomes identity. Now let me just say this be about a forence. Imagine if we gave our financial if we gave our financial future the same attention that you get that we give celebrity gossip. Imagine if we give our financial future the same attention that we give def Hainey. Imagine if we give our financial futures the same attention that we give Tank Davis. Imagine if we give our financial futures the same attention that we give Floyd Mayweather. Imagine if we gave our financial futures the same attention that we gave Lebron James. Imagine if you gave your financial future the same attention that you gave getting that tuxedo to go see young jezu. Rap. First, first, I'm gonna stack but flow and then what hey man. Imagine if you gave your financial future the same attention that you give celebrity gossip. Yeah, yeah, Imagine if you studied investing like you study celebrity gossip. Imagine if you studied investment like you study what the fuck Tank Davis is tweeting and deleting? Simple man? Yeah, Imagine if you. Imagine if you studied investing like you study where Lebron James is gonna play next year. Imagine if you invested in your marriage the way you invest in following people that you'll never meet. Yeah, Imagine if you spent thirty minutes each day improving yourself. I lie the Black Coffee Club. You feel me. Imagine if you spent thirty minutes each day actually improving yourself instead of consuming. Instead of consuming content from people who don't they don't even know you exist, you feel me, they don't even know you exist. Your whole life will look different. Your whole life will look different. Be a barn, be about a farce. We'd be in a whole new stratosphere. Yeah. Yeah, so here's another problem. Celebrity culture quietly has taught us to admire instead of build. You understand what I'm saying. We celebrate achievement without developing the habits that created the achievements. We apply like success without practicing discipline. You feel me like we admire confidence without earning and cultivating our own confidence. Family, Like, watching greatness is not the same as becoming great. You feel me like, bro, it ain't nothing in. Your life that you want to become great at like it ain't nothing that you want to do, Like it's nothing you want to build. You feel me like it's nothing that you just really like it ain't shit that's waking you up at night, that saying like, man, if you don't do this, your life ain't gonna be complete. Like you don't sit there and think about what your market is gonna be, Like, ah, what am I gonna what's my legacy gonna be? Like you don't think. About that, like you've given your legacy to celebrity culture. You feel me. Like following successful people is not the same as following successful principles. That's a huge difference. And too many of us have become professional spectators, watching comment and reacting, sharing, scrolling. Meanwhile, your own dreams is over there. Collecting dust, you feel me, they collecting dust. Your own purpose is sitting there looking at you salty. Imagine how your purpose is over there just cutting their eyes at you like this, motherfucker here. Your own kids need you. Your own kids need you. Your health is declining, your finances are under pressure. Yeah a deep laughing at me, you stupid. You know I ain't laying your whole purpose. Man, I ain't gonna, man, I be getting, I be getting, Man, I'm trying to I'll be trying to hold it, man, I'll be trying to hold it. But Donnie Simpson, we grew up listening to Donnie Simpson. What did Donnie Simpson tell you? What did he say? Donnie Simpson said, average minds talk about about events. Great minds talk about ideas. Small minds talk about people. Y'all not listening to me, though, y'all not listening to me. Salute to the homie, the dirt game boss in there, blessing, the blessing, the chat with some jew as you feel me. I appreciate the family, nah man, she said. He blew when he said collecting dusk. You know I ain't lying. Your person was over there collecting dust looking at you like man like man, I'm just saying family like man. We I'm speaking the Generation X, but I'm speaking to everybody. But I'm speaking the Generation X because we got that shit bad man, Like, don't become an expert. How are you an expert in another man's life and you a stranger in your own life? Like it's so many of y'all that are experts like I can call a motherfucker and or go listen to motherfucker talk and you can tell me what a motherfucker eat for breakfast, like, oh, you ate for breakfast here at the gym? He here, he there, he is he that what? Don't become an expert in another man's life while you remain a stranger in your own. Man, I detest celebrity culture. Salute the thrive and go with Joe dropping the theme emoji. I detest it, man, I detest it. Man, I detest what it has done to us. So let me say this, Let me challenge y'all because like, like on some real shit, you feel me im some real shit because I feel like part of what I do is I come in and I'm literally I don't know if you've seen the platform or if you've understood what I was doing, but I'm literally coming in and I'm literally challenging the shit, like I'm literally challenging you getting your ass up in the morning. And the first thing you do is start gossiping, Like I'm challenging that. I'm saying get up in the morning, and at least I ain't gonna I can't stop you from gossiping. I can't stop you from listening to the gossip. I listen to to boxing content and shit and sports content and shit. Myself, all this shit is a bunch of gossip. I can't you feel me. I can't stop the rain. But what I can do is to give you a different perspective and to say, hey, man, why don't you pour into yourself a little bit? You understand what I'm saying. Hey, we having this conversation about us, about self mastery, about getting better, about pursuing purpose. You feel me? About raising the standard? Yeah, we're talking about becoming more emotionally intelligent. You know, what do you want to build? What do you want to cultivate? What do you want? Let's ask some of the ELM conversations before we go off and we watch the WBO purse bid for the fight that Keith Shan Davis really won't out of. You feel me? Now? Why don't we let's build ourselves up a little bit first? Yeah, coach sixty seven Sports TV, what's up with your homies? Salute to you? Yeah, so let me challenge y'all, especially gen X, the GenX. I'm on y'all, helmet man, cause y'all. But man, come on, family, so let me challenge you. What if you become fascinated with your own growth? What if you become fascinated with your own growth?
