Systems Change Lives When You Actually Use Them

Self-discipline, intentional living, productivity, focus, consistency, and personal growth are not created by collecting systems—they are created by consistently using them. Real transformation happens through application, not information.

In this episode of The Black Coffee Club™, JuniorTheTruth™ concludes The Simple Truth MinuteManual™ Week by bringing together the core lessons of awareness, structure, standards, focus, and intentional living.

Many people spend years searching for:

the perfect planner
the perfect routine
the perfect productivity system
the perfect strategy

But the truth is:

The system was never the magic.
The application was.

This conversation explores:

implementation
consistency
sustainable growth
momentum
self-awareness
intentional structure
standards
refinement

Junior shares how The Simple Truth MinuteManual™ System helped improve awareness, strengthen priorities, protect focus, and create sustainable structure—not because it was perfect, but because it was used consistently.

We’ll discuss:

✔ Why information alone doesn’t create change
✔ The difference between learning and applying
✔ How consistency compounds over time
✔ Why awareness changes everything
✔ The danger of constantly starting over
✔ How systems create momentum when you use them

Because here’s the truth:

Systems don’t change lives.
People using systems consistently change lives.

If you've been collecting information but struggling to create meaningful change, this conversation is for you.

You understand what I'm saying. But grab your grab be uh your coffee or your morning beverage. I was actually on that ice water today. I want to clear something up. I want to clear something up. We are making some the the How can I say this? The platform is going to be under heavy construction. That's it. It's going to be under heavy construction. And I'm realizing as I as I go through and you know, look at my system and reflect and think, and you know, constantly I'm in this constant state of just kind of review and I'm reviewing things, and I realized I kind of need to I kind of need to adjust some things or whatnot. So we are under construction. Shout out to everybody that shows love and support man and I just want to tell you that so you don't be startled as we start to roll out and announce and roll out these change Now today we get to wrap up the Simple Truth Minute Manual week. This is what I've been calling this. This has been my Simple Truth Minute Manual a week man where I've just really been heavy into the talk about the manual and the components, you know what I mean, And you know, really truly for me, just proven why it is an asset to me and this asset in my life. Saluta, coach sixty seven Sports TV. He said, he said, I was going through my mini manual yesterday. The mini manual is a huge asset. Shout out to everybody that has your mini manuals, your system, the system and you're using you know what I mean, the tools within the system as a part of your system. You know what I mean. So the other thing I wanted to clear up is when I say the system, though I'm referring to for all intents and purposes, I'm referring to the Simple Truth Minute manual system that we put together, of course, because there's not anything else like that, and there's not anybody that you're gonna listen to on YouTube today. Who's going to who's going to push you towards establishing the system for yourself. But this system is not the end all be all, but it is indeed can be a part of your system. You understand what I'm saying. You create your system, and this is the end. It's not the end all be all, but indeed should be or could be a part of your system. But the main thing that I'm saying is if you could use the you can use the Minute manual. You could use a pen and paper, you could use a you could use a Scooby Doo calendar. For all I care. I just need you operating with intention and with standards. Whatever you use. You could use your iPhone, you could use a Garfield calendar. I don't care what it is. You could use my little pony flip book. I don't care. You have to have a system that you can keep and adhere to your own standards. Now, we wrap up this week the Simple Truth of Men and man Yo week, and this week's been all about structure, of wearing this focused standards, attention, ultimately intentional living for our sniper in the building, what's up with a knife? He said? Hashtag self mastery, hashtag Junior Mafia you already know. Shout out to everybody that's tuning in live man, thank you all so much. Salute to the replay game, Man, replay game, be full effect being full effect mode man like I'll be sure. Shout out to the replay game. And shout out to the podcast family. Mela for me lea hashtag junior Mafia my first love. Salute to the podcast family. No matter how you're listening, though, I need you to hit the like button if you feel so inclined, and then you can always you know, drop that theme emoji you feel me, i' give me my theme of moment you can God, always do that and let me know you rocking with the content. So at today I want to talk about the most important lesson of all. If you will, you understand what I'm saying. But honestly, most of us are looking for the wrong thing. You understand what I'm saying, like we look for the wrong thing. We're looking for the we're looking for the perfect planner. We're looking for the perfect application. We're looking for the perfect routine. We're looking for the perfect strategy. You understand what I'm saying. We're looking for the perfect morning rituals. We're looking for the perfect productivity hack. And the truth is, once again, the systems are never the magic. Does that make sense? The system is never the magic. You are the magic. You are the magic. The system simply, simply, if I can put it simply, the system gives your effort somewhere to live. If that makes any sense. The simple truth men in manual, it's not magic, like it's not perfect. You are the magic. You like you are the magic. The system simply gives your effort somewhere to live. And that's the conversation this morning. That's the conversation this morning. Because systems are going to change your life. I told you in two thousand this is the beginning of twenty and twenty six. I said, this is the year of the system. This is the year of the system. We're going We're moving away from all of the hustle and bustle, all of the bullshit effort, all of this being in and all these feelings of being lost in the sauce. We're going away from that and we are plugging into systems because this is the absolute year of the system. The truth of the matter is systems will really your system will change your life. I'm not coming off of that. Your system will change your life when you actually use them. Shits, let's get. It one So. I'm hustle harder than the moment. I'm a feast on these streets. Got a revolver. I talk for these niggas. Try to take me off the block where our points up daily sit Bailey's out the bobble. Yes, indeed, man, we start off our self mastery conversations with face mob around here. You feel me? They start out with face mob around here. Did you hear what I said? Systems with your system will change your life when you actually use it, when you actually use it. So let's tell the truth. Most people don't have Let me stop you. I'm big on the most people talk, man, because I'm used to that's me being a that's me being an instructor. Like that's me instructing, not not really bringing it to the people and putting it in your face. You don't have an information problem. You don't have an information problem. You know that you should wake up early. Huh as a functional adult. Now, y'all listen to me, man, because I'm not This is where the gloves is gonna get for real. I'm not the gloves is the I'm not punching on you, Nola. I know you're gonna get on your shit. I'm not punching on you like I'm not. This ain't no fight. This is me literally bringing it. You feel me myself rubbing it in my face? Daz? What's up with your homie? Salute to you, Dad's Daz. I'm not this ain't I don't want to fight today. Y'all know when I come in here, I tell y'all I feel like bitckering. I don't feel like bicker in the day. But you don't have an information problem your ass. You have done remarkable things to be where you are with what you have done. You understand why I'm saying you have done remarkable things. Think about it. Some of you all have established great things with regard to your career. We've established great things with regard to our businesses. We've established great things with regard to what we've been able to create, And we was bullshitting like, let's just tell the truth. You didn't done some magical shit, and you was bullshitting like I'm not finna play with y'all today. Matter of fact, maybe I do feel like bicker. You've been bullshitting, like you and look at what you've done bullshitting. And when I say bullshitting, what I mean is you know good in the hell well that you can do one hundred percent better one of the I'm gonna tell you something about yourself that you might not realize, but I realized because of the connection that you have with me, and because my message actually resonates with you. You are a person who everybody else they they're one hundred percent, they're going one hundred percent. You're cruising at about it's really twenty five, but I'll say you cruising at about thirty five forty just so you don't feel like a complete asshole. Everybody else is going hustling, bustling their balls to the wall. And the shit that you do, like the shit that you really do, you do it effortlessly, and people look at you like, man, what the hell? And you get all kind of accolades, and you get all kind of acknowledgments and people really regard you even from your position. People regard you as a leader. Even if you're not in leadership, people regard you as a leader, you feel me. Because there's different types of leadership. That's a whole different conversation. You understand what I'm saying, because we're we're talked to lean towards the leaders who have who have title, and who have you know, so on and so forth. But a lot of people are leaders based on their knowledge, you feel me. A lot of people are are leaders based on their skills. A lot of people are leaders based on their ability to communicate. So anyway, people look at you at as a leader in your own right, and you're cruising in at a cool twenty five percent effort, a twenty five percent togetherness. You understand what I'm saying. The level that you ask, no, you're supposed to be functioning on you at about twenty five percent, You feel me. You can go argue, bicker with somebody else, be mad at somebody else for the day, because this is probably the last time you talked to me until Monday. You feel me. You don't have an information problem. You know the shit that you need to know. You know you should wake up earlier. You know you should protect your focus. You know you should be reducing distractions. You know you're supposed to exercise. You know you're supposed to eat better. You know you're supposed to create structure around your life. You know that you're supposed to manage your time better. You know. The problem isn't knowledge. You know these things, you know it. The problem is application, you feel me. The problem is application. Your ability to apply the knowledge that you know is shitty, is shitty. Your ability and willingness to to practically apply your knowledge is shitty. And that's the That's an important distinction. Like we gotta distinct, you gotta be, you gotta you gotta do, You gotta make a distinction. You feel me. In fact, I'm gonna tell you dollars to donuts. I bet dollars to donuts a lot of times and a lot of spaces in your life. You feel like an asshole when somebody tell you something you already know. You feel me. I know, I'm this is a bit much today, man, I'm taking a cut off the dot for the conversation. Salute Ala D in the building. She said, facts, yeah, yeah, yeah, look look coming in fucking up the conversation. You do fight predictions tomorrow. Look at her. Look she can't help herself, and I love her. I love you for that, Lola. You gonna I'm gonna make some updates to this. I'm making some updates to the platform. You gonna love them. You're gonna love the updates. You feel like a jackass when somebody tell you something you already know. I don't give a damn. If it's the people you work with, I don't care. If it's the doctor, I don't care. If it's somebody you know, a colleague, it could be your parents. You feel like a jackass. Look look, look a look, lad says, I hate that, especially when it's my fault. They assume I don't know. I can't stand when the motherfucker talk to me about some shit I know. I can't. I can't stand it. I can't stand it. The knowledge is not a problem. You don't have a knowledge. You don't have an information problem. It's the application, and you gotta be you gotta be sure that you make that distinction. You feel me. Many people excuse me. You spend years collecting information. You spend years collecting information without changing behavior. You feel me. I know I ain't supposed to be eating potato chips a year. I have years and years of information that says, hey man, you don't need to be eating potato chips. Brother, but I like potato chips. Looking at ass, You feel me, but I like potato chips. Yeah, people spend years. You spend your life collecting information without changing behavior. You feel me. Read books. We read books, We watch videos, We listen to podcasts. You bring your ass to the Simple Truth, to the excuse me, to the Black Coffee Club live streams. You feel me. We spend all this time watching videos, listening to podcasts, saving content, learning learning, learning directly and indirectly, but have for implementing. You feel me. Think about how many times I've told you you need a system. Go over to the Simple Truth Mini Man w or go over to the Mini Man youo www dot minimao dot com and get you a system. And think about how many of y'all have not taken your asses over there and bought a book you ain't even about to. I'm saying, may go get the digital book. You feel me, Go get the digital book. I am literally in the process of producing the audiobook. For the second edition. Like, man, I gotta eliminate these excuses. Let me get you an audiobook so you can sit there and listen to it during the day. You can spend an hour and listen to the actual audiobook so that you can get these bars. You feel me. We are tearing down the barriers, but the implementation isn't there, you feel me, We never implement. Yeah, so eventually you have to You gotta ask yourself what am I actually doing with what I know? What am I actually doing with what I know? Because information doesn't change lives? Oh, information doesn't change lives. You know how many you know how many people know? Stuff? You feel me? You know how many? You know? How many? Man, do you know how brilliant? Let me just stop, Let me age myself real quick. You know how brilliant crackheads are? Have you ever just like and you know, we got kN folks, This crackheads, We got kN folks, this fucking astrophysicists and they and they smoke dope. You understand what I'm saying. Information doesn't change lives. Information by itself doesn't change lives. Kia, you already picking up what I'm putting down. Nello Information doesn't change lives. Implementation does. The implementation of said information is what changes your life. Sit there and have all the all the information you want to, motherfucker, you ain't gonna change your life. You can sit there and you know you're supposed to exercise, you know you're supposed to eat better, you know you're supposed to get up and move your body. That's not gonna change your life. Getting up and getting them three mile walks in, that's what That's what's gonna change your life, you feel me. Implementation is what changes your life, not information. It's implementation. That's why you sit there and you know people and you look at these people who don't know what you know, can't do what you can do, but they have a little bit of information that they implemented, and that is what makes them different, That is what makes them stand out. Yeah, the information doesn't change lives. The implementation of information does. Some of the most successful changes that I've made in my life came from simple things that I actually was able to use or do consistently. Period. Now I said, I just got hit. My fault, that was you feel me, that was my fault. Nah, it ain't my fault. That's our fault because we've been bullshitting. Some of the most successful changes I made in my life came from simple things that I used consistently or that I did consistently, not complicated things that I admired. You feel me, Not the complicated shit I admired, talking about the simple things. This at a point in my life where I was the absolute strongest in my life. It was simple. I got up and I went to the gym, and I met my workout partner at the gym. Every day. We were in the gym every day, Monday through Friday. Every day. We took Saturday and Sunday off every day. Simple, wasn't complicated, wasn't about the complicated things I admired. It was the simple things that I used consistently. That's important, Big Dad says, got you old school instantly in the building. What's up with you? Yeah, it wasn't about this, wasn't about all that, all that hooting and holler, and it wasn't about that. It was about the simple things that I would use and implement and use on a daily basis. Simple. Yeah, all right, man, let's talk about consistency. This is where transformation really happens. It don't happen in excitement. It don't happen in motivation, It don't happen in planning. It happens in repetition. People often we underestimate excuse me, I did it again, not people, you, Joe, Joe, You was in the back of my mind and I didn't even realize it. So I just looked and seeing Joe. Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah yeah yeah. Consistency. This is where transformation actually happens, not in the excitement, not in the motivation, not in the planning, but in the repetition. And you often underestimate how powerful small actions become over time. Think about your life, Think about your life. You'll sit there and be like, man, I'm gonna do ten push us far I go to bed. You feel me every day, and then you don't do it, and time and time and time go by, and then you just realize that, man, if I have been doing ten push ups before I go to bed every day for a year, six months, Nigga, I had a physique. I want simple shit like that, yeah, kid said, she said, motherfucker be dumb, dumb as fuck, but they implement and take off. I'm talking about they be stupid. Then a motherfucker be stupid. Motherfucker be stupid, get some shit, implement it, boom out of there. Won't see them no more. You feel me, big dad said, now you punching on me, fam Man, I'm just telling you, bruh, I'm punching on myself. We underestimate how powerful small actions are over time. Man. A tiny drip of water will cut through a rock. A simple review habit, a focused block, a planner check in, a weekly reflection. None of those things are dramatic, none of them are grand standing. But when you repeat them consistently, they become life changing. Off the muscle, you feel me, and that's what That's what the system taught me. That's what the system taught me. Not complexity, consistency and consistency is not glamorous. Man, it's not glamorous. You feel me, It's not glamorous. I just realized to get what I what I to get where I'm trying to get physically and with regard to my health, health and physically right. To get where I need to get, I gotta eat the same shit every day I get. I gotta eat the same exact shit every day. There's no glamor in that. You feel me, there's no glamoring that, like, huh, even if I even if I love it, I don't want to do it every day. Consistency is not glamorous. Most of the things. Let me stop trying to sound and tell let me stop trying to sound nice. Most of the shit that's going to improve your life does not feel exciting. After a while, it's not exciting at all. It feels normal. And that's actually the goal. Did you see what I just did? That's actually the goal. Because when good habits become normal, they become sustainable, and sustainable behavior creates lasting results. That's why systems matter. Sustainable behavior create as lasting results. You understand what I'm saying. We want to normalize the good happening. Y'all run it back, man, I ain't got time to be going through this shit in belaboring the points I gotta go. That's why the systems matter. They help you repeat what matters, the simple truth men and mayyel. The reason why it matters is because the motherfucker helps you repeat what matters. It helps you, It helps you repeat what matters, It helps you identify what matters. It helps you identify more importantly what doesn't matter. It helps you prioritize what matter, and then it helps you repeat what matters. It helps you repeat what actually matters. I'm gonna get personal for a minute. Get personal. It's personal. Let's get personal this week. Man, it wasn't really about promoting the system, wasn't really about promoting the minute, man, it was it wasn't It was about sharing a philosophy. Man, It's about sharing a philosophy. It's about sharing a philosophy, sharing a framework, a way of living. You know what I'm saying. The biggest impact that creating this creating and curating and and using this system, the biggest impact that it's had on my life hasn't been productivity. Hasn't been productivity. It's been awareness. It's been awareness. It's been awareness. Building out this system and utilizing this system it has I've become more aware of my priorities, my habits, my distractions, my responsibilities, my focus, my time. And awareness changes everything because once you see your life clearly, you can stop guessing, you can stop reacting, and you can start living intentionally. And the in the book, so I say the system it became a tool. It became a tool, but the real transformation came from the awareness that it created. You understand what I'm saying. I wish I could. I really want to just talk bluntly. All Right, I'm gonna talk bluntly. I know y'all saying talk bluntly, Junior. Fuckn we here thirty three minutes in of a twenty five minute spill, you already shit talk bluntly. I just became aware of everything. Man. I was looking at where I was spending my time. I was looking at realizing relationships where my energy wasn't reciprocated. I understand that reciprocity is everything. Like that's something that I need. If you're gonna be in relationship with me, I need reciprocity. You feel me like that's law. And if you're not reciprocating my energy, or reciprocating my intentions or reciprocating my actions, then it's toxic. I've realized that you feel me. I realize I don't spend a lot of time in a lot of different places. I've realized that you feel me. A lot of people don't fuck with me no more. Man, you understand what I'm saying because I'm not. I haven't readily made myself available. When you see me, I me either by myself or I'm with my I'm with my family. You feel me? You either see when you see me, man, I'm either by myself or with my family. That's it. I don't do a whole lot of extra shit. I don't feel inclined to come to everything. I don't accept every invitation. You feel me I, And it's I just became aware. Do you feel me? And awareness gives you the ability to choose that Wheareness literally helped me. It helped me protect my mornings, It helped me protect my focus, It helped me review my life. Honestly, it helped me stay connected to my priorities and most importantly, stay connected to myself. And that's what changed. And you know, when you when you lose sight of all those things, you disconnect from yourself. You disconnect from yourself. Yeah, Joe said, we we fail because we think life is supposed to be glamorous, but in fact it's supposed to be second nature and simple, supposed to be simple. Yeah, hey man, King Bonney said, being by myself, you can't scare me with a good time man, what man, Well, that's my ship. You feel me. You're gonna leave me alone? Talk dirty to me? You talk dirty to me. Lead mass made man say man I, Man, I gotta go pick my kids up from school early. Man, I'm sorry about that. Man. I love being I love being with me, all right, Man. One thing that I want people to take away from this week and from you know, the platform, and from these conversations is stop starting over. You keep resetting your life. Stop every Monday, every month, every every every new year, every setback, every breakup, every monthfucking every every uh, a new job, every whatever, and every restart casts your momentum. The answer is not always a new system. Sometimes the answer is refine the current one. Adjust, improve, adapt and keep that ship moving. Adjust, improve, adapt and keep that ship moving. Because the fact is is real growth isn't built through constant restarts. Man, It's built through continuous refinement. You feel me solute The Sheldon LDBC in the in the in the on the rumble man, shout out to the l DBC, the people who build extraordinary lives. Man, They're not perfect, They're just consistent. They keep showing up, they keep adjusting, they keep learning and they keep applying, and over time, your momentum is gonna compound. And that's what systems help create. Man not perfection, momentum momentum. So what happened, what happens, What happens, what happens? Where do we go from here? It's simple. You use what you learn. Fuck use what you learn. You can start, like I said, it's simple for me. Not easy, but simple. Pick one thing, not twenty, not three, not five. Pick one thing, one thing, one habit, one boundary, one focused block, one review process, one standard, and start there. Start there, because if you try to change everything, then you're gonna change nothing. You feel me. If you try to change everything at the same time, you're gonna change nothing. But if you consistently improve one thing, just consistently improve one thing, that improvement begins spread into other areas and it'll be natural. And that's how sustainable growth works. One intentional step out of time, one intentional step out of time. I hope y'all got that. I hope y'all got that. I hope y'all got that. Start with one mahard nature. What's up what you brought to look? Kingvonney said, gotta fall in with the process. Gotta pick one, Gotta pick one, Gotta pick one. Yeah, gotta pick one. He said. Gotta fall in love with the process. That's what King Wonney said. Gotta fall in love with the process. All right, man, let's close this week out so I can go. I appreciate everybody who joined these conversations. The biggest lesson, the biggest piece of information I hope you take away is this. Man, y'all gonna be mad at me, but it's cool.
