You have an inability to lead yourself, like what is your what is your purpose in life? That those are the conversations that I be wanting to have and I try to have when I when I be seeing the youngions out here a little bit misguided, like what's the purpose? What you're working on? What are you what are you doing, what are you building? What are you cultivating? What are you putting your hands to? And then it goes triple time when it's people on my age who seem to just be moving around just aimlessly, Like why are we moving around so aimlessly? You feel me? Why are we moving around so aimless? Because people struggle to lead themselves. Everybody needs to be led, or think you need to be led. Everybody needs We have savior complexes. Everybody feels like they need to be saved, like it's somebody else's job. Yeah, yeah, Why do so many people struggle to lead themselves? And the fact is you struggle. You struggle to lead yourself because you don't trust yourself anymore, Like that's the truth. Think about it. How many promises have you made to yourself? Man, I'm gonna lose weight. Man, I'm gonna write that book. Man, I'm gonna save that money. Man. I'm gonna stop procrastinating. Man, I'm gonna stop bullshitting. Man. I'm gonna be more present. Man. I'm gonna be nicer, I'm gonna be sweeter. Man. I'm gonna wake up earlier. Man. I'm gonna go get my kids more. Mana I'm gonna build that I'm gonna make that relationship right man, I'm just gonna do better. Like how many How many times have you made that promise to yourself now or those promises to yourself? Now? How many did you actually keep? You feel me because every time you break a promise, like every broken promise leaves evidence. Every time you break a promise, you are leaving evidence. And it's not for the world like it's for you. Because you break promises in the world don't even know, Like you break promises in the world, don't even know, but your ass. No, like you know you feel me? Yeah, you know how many times you break promises? You know how much evidence you leave? And every time you tell yourself you're gonna do something and you don't, then you train yourself not to believe your own word. Every time you tell yourself you're gonna do something and you don't do it, you are training yourself not to believe your own word. And that's why confidence feels so fragile. You feel me, That's why confidence feels so fragile because your confidence is not dis appearing. Your credibility is confidence, ain't. The shit that's disappearing is your credibility. Self trust is evidence. It's evidence that you keep your word. It's evidence that you show up. It's evidence that you're gonna execute. You feel me, and you don't. You don't build self trust by repeating affirmations. You build You build self trust by honoring commitments. You can talk all you want to. For me, Affirmations is it's talk. You understand what I'm saying. It's talk. Affirmations is talking. We do a whole lot of talking. Talking is cool, but we do a whole lot of it. Affirmations is not talking. Affirmations is excuse me. Self trust is not affirmations. Affirmations is talking. Self trust is not talking. It's not just repeating affirmations. It's honoring commitments. Affirmations is like a It's a declaration. You understand what I'm saying. An affirmation is a declaration, So you make the affirmation. But after you make the affirmation, work has to be done, you feel me, work has to be done. If you are making affirmations and then you're not turning around and immediately doing the work, you gotta get the fuck out of here. You just talking. You just talking. We build self trust by honoring our commitments. Man, be about a France says, most are taught to be sheep and not the shepherd or wolf. You already have it, like you already got it. But the question is will you use it? Like you already got permission, you know what you're supposed to be doing. Every promise you keep, you strengthen your self trust, every standard that you honor, you strengthen your internal authority. Every responsibility that you accept, you remove another layer of dirt you feel me and the fact of the matter, Eventually, the leader that you, the leader that you've been looking folk shit, looks back at you every morning in the mirror, y'all, every morning in the mirror. So here's today's challenge. Stop asking who's gonna help me? And start asking what does the leader inside me do next? Then do that? What do I do next? Then? Do that, not tomorrow today.
