Ever feel like you’re busy all day… but nothing really changes?
That’s not laziness.
That’s autopilot.
In this episode of The Black Coffee Club, JuniorTheTruth™ connects the dots between self-worth, habits, and emotional triggers to explain why so many people repeat the same patterns—despite knowing better.
This is a review and integration of three powerful conversations:
• How Is Value Determined? — why outsourcing your worth shapes your behavior
• The Habit Loop Explained — how cue, routine, and reward keep patterns locked in
• Triggers, Patterns, and Reactions — how emotions quietly press “play” on your life
Inside this conversation, we break down:
• why unclear self-worth leads to unconscious habits
• how habits run automatically once they’re wired
• how emotional triggers keep patterns repeating
• why reactions aren’t personality—they’re practiced scripts
• how awareness interrupts autopilot and restores choice
This isn’t about motivation.
It’s about seeing clearly.
When value is unclear, habits go unconscious.
When habits go unconscious, triggers take control.
☕️ Pull up. Slow down. Take your life off autopilot.

This is junr the truth and this is Dick indeed your Black Coffee Club Live. Salute to the family. Man. Thank y'all so much for taking the time too, he and really truly genuinely appreciate it. If I had a million times, I couldn't tell it all man. I couldn't tell it all man. I'm not even gonna stall. I couldn't tell it all man. But salute to you all, Thank you all so much. Let's just jump straight into it. Actually, let's not because it's cold outside. It's everybody safe. That's the first questions. Everybody safe and everybody snowedy, especially those of you all who are in the South. Is everybody all right? Man? Everybody safe? I don't know. I'm pretty sure it's in the teens where I am. Let me check. I haven't even checked. I'm gonna tell y'all the truth. I'm gonna tell the truth on myself. I ain't even it's five degrees where I'm at but it feel like it's negative fave. It's five degrees. What it feels like? It is negative five? And the high today is going to be eleven degrees. You feel me, feels like it's negative fave. Ay man, I a ab said, it's twenty degrees out there. Man, saluted my sister. She hard stay in the building. What's up with a good sister? I hope all is well with you down there? Did y'all get snow? Tiffy too? What's up with you? Saluted Tiffy? Two in the building. Man, I'm gonna be real with you, you said in my whole hanging in there are I'm good money? I'm good money? She harsh. I'm gonna tell you a little I'm gonna tell you a little known secret about a little known secret about me. I was born in the blizzard. I was born in a blizzard. You feel me. I was born in the blizzard. I'm ana age myself. I was born in the blizzard in nineteen seventy eight. So I you know, I relish off this weather. I love I love snow. I love the You know, when we get this inclement weather, it's something about the snow that I'm cool. You know what I'm saying. I'm good money. So yeah, we cool. Ain't no problems, ain't nothing, you know, ain't nothing shut down, none of that kind of stuff. Now, granted, I got to tell the truth on myself. I have not been outside to shovel. We got like seventeen inches of snow here in southwest Ohio where I am, and so I got. I have not been outside to shovel. I have not done any of that. I just I stayed in the house all day, worked on getting my studio complete, and you know, and really chilled. You know what I'm saying, to be honest with you. You know, if I'm telling the truth, man, I just came here to chill. So I was chilling. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah yeah. She hard said. Oh really, she said, I could see that explains your overall energy. Yeah. I'm cool in the I'm cleaning in the blizzard like I was literally born in the blizzard of nineteen seventy eight. Oh man, you feel me. So I'm cool, Like I really truly like inclement the weather. I love the rain, I love thunderstorms. Don't get me wrong, I love the sun. I love the sunny weather too. You know what I mean. But I'm up. You know, I think I'm a person. One of the things I'm realizing about myself because I be flirting with with moving around. I need all four seasons. I think I need all four seasons. I'm you know, I really think I I think I do better with all four seasons. A whole bunch of wild ass Indian shit, I do better with all four seasons. Back in the South, what's up with your homie salute? Yeah? But anyway, so, yeah, i haven't shoveled or anything. So I'm gonna get out here and get everything dug out, man, get my cars cleaned out, all of that stuff. My neighbors and them, they was out there yesterday when it was still actively snowing. Something I'll never understand because what happens is, well, I understand if you don't want to do it all at once. Some people don't want to do it all at once. I really don't care. I just want. What I don't want is I don't believe in doing what's same work twice, you feel me, So I don't believe in going out there and shoveling, then having to go out there shovel again. I'd rather just wait and do it once you feel me. I'm an efficiency person or I don't know. It's just something about doing the same job twice that just don't resonate well with me. DP Rocker, what's up with your homie? You all right? I know DP, I know you over here in the area. Man, you're good. But for me, Man, we got about seventeen Where I'm at, everything snow covered. My deck is covered, my porch is covered. I can't open my front door. I can open my garage, can't open my back door. So I gotta go through the garage and work my way out. But it's cool, you know what I mean. It's cool they cancel trash day. My trash day is today. But it's so bad we don't even have trash day. DP Rocket said, you gotta shovel the driveway. Yeah, I gotta shovel too, bro, That's what I just said. I'm gonna go out there and dig and dig us out. I didn't dig this out yesterday. I just let it because it was coming down all throughout the day. I'm like, man, I'm not going out there shoveling that stuff. And didn't have to go out there again. So I just go out there, shovel with snowblow, get everything cleaned off, and we be locked and loaded. The problem is DP Rocker, is this fare degrees that's out there for that hawk out there? You feel me that fat degrees? But it feels like it's negative too, Like that's that that's the ay man save you said we got another round coming on Thursday. I believe it. Well, I'm gonna be in here chilling. The only thing that's gonna affect that I was planning on having a fight party this weekend. Won't be doing that. You understand what I'm saying. Or that's easy money? Yeah, that's easy money. But anyway, salute to y'all man, how y'all feeling man? Everybody cool? Man? You know what I mean? Everybody cool? Everything good? DP Rocking, Macadosh's Back of the South, King Vonney eighty six in a building? What's up with your homie? Salute to your family. Thank y'all so much man for taking the time to slide. Man. I really truly genuinely appreciate y'all. I gotta, I gotta, I gotta, I got a confession. I gotta tell y'all Black martial arts society. What's up with your homy salute? I got a confession. I got a pet peeve. And I think that like we always be trying to we be trying to like vilify women and our sisters as to why everything's all messed up with the culture and everything's messed up with our families. I'm gonna tell y'all something, man, this is not gonna be a good This is not gonna be a good conversation. But I'm gonna tell y'all something. Listen, and this is trigger and I'm gonna tell you what it's triggered by. I looked at a video of Less Brown talking today. Less Brown. Everybody knows who Less Brown is. If you don't know who less Brown is, just you can google ing or whatever. But less Brown is a motivational speaker, you know, slash, you know personality just from my childhood, right, So listen to me, y'all. So I saw less Brown today and less Brown had a video of less Brown and he was talking, and Less Brown had a jet black beard with a man unit on his head with jet black hair, and he was just looking and he got the old he got the old man turkey neck or whatever, and he got this jet black hair, and it sent me into a frenzy, y'all, like I had an internal combustion. Because less brown is old, King Vonne, less brown is old. How old is less brown? Less brown gotta be eighty eighty something? Let me let me google this. How old is less brown? Less brown is literally eighty on the nose, less brown is eighty years old. I've seen less brown with gray hair. Less brown is eighty years old, man. And I'm looking at this picture of less brown. I should say it. I should share this screen. Is it gonna come up? May? I should Less brown got a high top fade jet black with a jet black beard at eighty years old. And it dawned on me. I got a had I had a less brown book. I had a less brown book and had to be there. I had to be in the sixth grade when I got this less brown book, right, and less brown was old? Then you feel me. Less brown was old then, y'all, don't hear me. Lets brown was old then, And so I'm looking at it like like, man, come on, bro And now in two thousand and I was in the sixth grade. Yll I was in the sixth grade. I just told y'all I was born in nineteen seventy eight, So y'all do the man you feel me? This was I don't know, I was in the sixth grade, well, nineteen ninety maybe, I think it was ninety somewhere in there. He was old then, and now he got jet black hair with a jet back jet back, jet back to flad jet black beard, so on and so forth. When I'm looking at him, like, nah, come on, Less Brown, come on, come on, uncle Les Brown. King Vonnie said, Morgan Freeman had ass. But I just was talking about that because it's certain people. It's certain people that just like, like I was literally just telling my wife, it's certain people that you never like. They've always been old, always been old. Like as long as you can remember, you you don't remember Morgan Freeman when he was young. You feel me, Less Brown is one of those people. Less Brown always been old, bro, you don't remember. You don't remember mother fucking Samuel L. Jackson when he wasn't fifty. You understand what I'm saying, Like, certain people always been old, Sean Connery, like, these people always been old, You feel me, Les Brown is one of them people and I'm like, come on, uncle Les, this is the this is but this is what I'm really getting at, man, this is what I'm getting at. At some point it stopped being cool for us to age. You understand, James Earl Jones always been old? You feel me? Always been old like always Tiffy two said, always like these dudes always been old like the only time I remember James Earl Jones that could have been could have pretended to be young when he was playing Throwing the Dune in Conan. He was playing Throwing the Dune in Conan. You feel me like, man, come on, man like, So at some point we don't want to get We became not wanting to get old, like men dying at beards gret from gray to jet black. You know what I'm saying. What I'm saying, you're eighty years old, bro Like, there's no way you ain't supposed to have some gray on your head. You feel me like, bro, we getting man units going and getting your hairline tattooed in and shit like that like it used to be. Remember when Sherman having the Sherman Hensley used to be that deal. Like you pull up like you gonna your hair gonna go away. Man, it's gonna happen, you feel me. You hold onto your hair if that's what you choose to do, or you shave the ball and you wear clean, you wear clean shaving bald head. But at some point, like we get old, man, that's what it is. We get old, like we get old. We get old like we get old. And at some point, brothers, we stop wanting to get old. Bro, Like you're gonna get old. You understand what I'm saying. We want to get old. And Sheethartstad said that boy keep it less brown, trying to trying to keep her young and fresh. Like no, man, like sometimes you don't want to like all right, man, like y'all can pull me into a real conversation I'm really not trying to have because I'm in earshot of my children. I just just reminded me that in here with me today they not in school. Other than that, I give y'all something you could feel. Man, you don't want no younger man, I don't man, you don't want no young girl hopping up and down on top of you, man, all into the wee hours of the morning, like you gotta go to sleep, Like I ain't when nine o'clock hit. Man, I don't be no good, Like I be falling asleep at nine o'clock. I ain't finna lie to you. You understand what I'm saying, Like, nah, baby, you come over here with me. You're gonna have today. Man, say like I'm falling asleep eight nine o'clock, like I'm through, I'm cooked. You understand what I'm saying, like eight nine o'clock, man, I'm dozing off. You understand all that being up in the wee hours of the wee hours of the morning, kicking it, drinking and all. Oh man, that's gonna make for a bad next couple of days. You feel me like I'll be having acid reflux and shit like I can't even eat cheeses after eight o'clock PM. If I eat cheeses after eight o'clock PM, I'm gonna have acid reflux. Like this is a real thing, Like I'm I'm getting old and I'm embracing it. You understand what I'm saying. It's a lot of people like I'm losing people. That's my age. I've lost so many people. They don't get they haven't got the opportunity to beer, so like I'm cool, But bro, imagine me, like y'all have seen that, y'all don't. I'm not finna cut my camera on, but y'all know what I look like. You understand what I'm saying. Y'all have seen that. Y'all have seen the beard. You understand what I'm saying. Like y'all haven't seen my I got jet black hairs in my beard and whatnot? You feel me? Like, look at that, man, I ain't that's kind of clean cut there. You might not be able to see as much. You know what I'm saying, But I got I got great hairs. You know what is gray? I'm starting to get gray. My temples is green. You feel me? Imagine me showing up tomorrow with jet black, with jet black beard. You know what I mean, A fool jet black man. You're crazy. I'm not gonna be able to do it. Yeah, not gonna be able to do it. At some point, fellas, we stop wanting to get old, but we be persecuting these women folk about you know bbls and and you're getting man and men starting to get BBLS too. Like, nah, bro, like I'm I'm a man. Shit, I'm old man, I'm old. I got the dad Bob man, I got to pop belly stuff I'm talking about. I got to pop. I'm built like Buddha. You feel me, That's what that is. Man, my mom, I'm old. I'm starting to get you know, gravity taken over. You know what I'm saying. I'm still a man. Let's get so we can get that clear. You feel me. I'm still a man. But man, I'm old. You know I'm getting older. And yes, I'm aging like I'm aging like fan wine and I'm fine. You feel me and some dapping there. You understand what I'm saying. And I'm clever. Yeah, But at the end of the day, man, I'm getting old. Bro Fellas, we gotta embrace. We gotta get back to embrace and getting old like you look wise. You understand what I'm saying. And I hate that because I've taken so much wisdom from the great Less Brown. But this fool I seen on that video and I'm looking at this picture now like man, I ain't man, I'm about this, y'all y'all gonna make me share the screen. Man, I'm about to share this screen because y'all y'all think I'm playing. I'm finish, shing, I'm finished. Share this screen. I'm finished share this screen. Y'all ask for this or I'm pushing it upon you one of the two. Where is this? Yeah? Man, I'm finished? Share this screen, y'all? How I take this off? Here? Hold on, y'all be cool. Let me let me figure this out real quick. Let me figure this out. Boom boom, Look at this? Can I go to the big? Can I make this big? I can't make this no bigger than what it is. Oh, I can't play the content. Hold on now, they try to. They tried to. No, They're trying to get me. I can't play the content. I'm just looking at this, this picture over here. I can't make this picture no bigger but this picture over here, to the left, like right there, like let's brown when he looked like he looked like he looked like a less Brown looked like a he got the Patti Labell hair, You feel me? I can't. I ain't got so much wisdom from less Brown, bro. I can't get no wisdom from from less brown with the Patty Leber hair. I'm so excited and I just can't hide it. I'm about to lose control, and I think I like it here, Dad, that ain't even that ain't even a Patty LaBelle? Is that a Petty Patti Labell song? That ain't Patty Leabelle Patti LaBelle. Uh? And I just want you to know how why I feel how I feel, I looking as us you feel me? I love and need and won't your babe about the head man get out of here, less uncle Lessie tripping man. Somebody need to tell Uncle Lessie tripping Man, go back to the gray man, go back to the gray hair. Land used to be received with the gray hair like it's it's something about the maturation of black men. Bro. We need we need wisdom, man. We gotta bring we gotta be. We gotta bring with gotta bring with wisdom back. We gotta bring wisdom back. We gotta get back to being We got to get back to being wise all being, Bro, it's got to be good enough. It's got to be good enough to have the Sherman Hensley Man to James Evans, you feel me, the the fred Gi Sanford. It's got to be good enough. Man, stop the madness man, and y'all stop and and and uh, y'all be trying to talk to me about dealing with these eighteen nineteen year old twenty twenty bro, I can't. I got a daughter. Let me explain this to y'all. I got a daughter that's twenty three. Like my daughter is twenty three years of age, right, So my daughter be having fits because when I be around all her friends be like, girl, where your pop's at? You know, you know I'm a handsome. You know what I'm saying. I'm charismatic. Plus a lot of them got daddy isshoes. You feel me. We're just gonna tell the truth. I'm goat daddy isshoes. And they'd be like, She'd be like, have a leave my daddy alone. And so now she she got this caveat there she do. When my daughter shares pictures of me, like on social media, she'd be like, yes, this is my father and yes he fine. Like that's what she says. She said, yes it's my daddy and yes he fine. Yes my daddy look good. Okay, next you know what I mean, Like, get over it. You feel me, But listen to me, my daughter twenty three. I can't what am I what I'm gonna do with a twenty three year old. You understand what I'm saying, like I can't even have a conversation with a thirty filure, Like I can't even have conversations with people that are thirty five, Like like thirty five, like you literally are still a baby. You feel me like my like my little brother is in that My baby brother is in that thirty five year range. You understand what I'm saying. That's my that's he's literally thirty five. I'm forty seven. My little brother thirty five. You understand what I'm saying, like he's that's my baby brother. So we talk and we kick it about like life and get him and he mature as hell. He an old man for real because it's raised by my daddy. You feel me, But like even in that age range, like I can't come on, man, so I don't. It's nothing a person that's you know, forty six, forty seven, fifty and y'all running around here with twenty some year olds. Man, that's I can't. I can't. I can't fathom that, Like that's me, that don't. That ain't my thing. You understand what I'm saying, like I told you, you know not Finna climb on me and hop up and down all on me, man, and act all crazy and be around me and and uh drinking patron and what else they be doing? Drinking patron and and doing the damn fool and doing TikTok dances and shit around me at in the wee eyes of the morning, he fu, I'm trying to go sleep. I was at the liquor store going to buy some supplies before the winter, before the winter hit. So I'm trying to get some I'm trying to get some supplies, and I'm over here in the tequila al and this white dude come over there, old middle aged white man. Uh, come over there, and he's talking to the people and he's trying to get some tequila. And he tells them, he tells the people, Yeah, I'm looking for some. I'm having an event. I'm hosting some people, and I'm looking for some patron. I said, mm hmmm. As soon as he said patron, I said, m m ooh, mister white man, mister white man, mister white man. They about to he got you know what, he got He got some, he got some, he got some. He got some young niggles. That's finna come over there and drink up all his liquor, and they ain't gonna eat his food because the food gonna be nast But they're gonna drink up all his liquor and they gonna run his pockets. He got him some sister girls that's gonna come over. He got him some of them young, old, big booty sisters. He's finna come over there drink all that man. Patron put that. They finna put it on him. As soon as he I said, Patron, I said, I started listening because I've never, since the history of ever, never ever heard a white person say anything about Patron. So I say all that to say, man, y'all got an age gracefully man, y'all start playing around age gracefully, man age like you suppose the age. Man. Y'all stop putting man, you and this on your head. Stop dying your grades. You feel me stopped? You know, age gracefully man, work out, eat right, do your push ups, do your exercises, take your vitamins, and say your prayers. Brother, but y'all cut it out. Man, But it's cool for us to get old. What's up with it, though, family? What's up with it? Who's flying? You're playing, Who's flying? You're planing? This is why you live on autopilot, man, And this is habits, triggers and self worth review. We talked about that last week. Man, we had an excellent week where we talked about habits, triggers, and our self worth. I'm telling you if you haven't caused content, man, I'm just we're trying to do this thing the right way. Salute to the guy in the building, players ball, what's up with your homy thrive and glow with Joe's in the building, what's up with y'all? We're trying to do this in neat and orderly so that you can go back if you just try to jump in and just watch from wherever. I still want you to be able to connect with the conversation, but I also don't want you to be confused. You understand what I'm saying. But this show is definitely a little bit different. And this is not a it's not a brand new concept episode at all. This is once again, it's just really a review because last week's conversation or excuse me, the past few weeks conversations have been connected on purpose. You know what I'm saying, On purpose, they're building one upon the other. And if you watched last week's episodes, and if you watch them separately, then you got insight. But when you put them all together, you get clarity. And that's just the fact you understand what I'm saying. In the week last week, it wasn't about motivation, it wasn't about discipline. It was about awareness, and it was about how value shaped your habits, and how habits run on loops, like your habits literally run on loops, and how triggers quietly keep people on autopilot. And if you really told the truth about it, you would talk about and you would realize exactly how much of your life is run on autopilot, and how it's all set on your triggers. It's all set on your triggers, and it's set on your triggers, because your life is run on your habits, meaning the things that you habitually do is what runs your life. And each and every habit that you have is tied to a trigger. SOL has to be about the forest in the building. What's up with your hommy? So let's let's let's start. I'm gonna slow. I didn't I didn't win a whole. I came in here late. First of all, they're not gonna win a whole half hour talk about Les Brown, and now we're super late, but we're gonna get to it. So we're gonna start at the route once again, how is your value determined? And that was a very selfish conversation that we had, And in that episode, I asked a question most people never slow down to answer, but they still live by uh, every single day we went in, we went in that deep. How's your value determined? Yeah, how's your value determined? Jobs, money, titles, attention, approval and none of those things are inherently evil, but they were never meant to be the foundation of how you judge yourself and how you prove that, how you prove your value or your worth. Once again, I came back to the point where I share with you all that the healthiest life is built when internal value is the foundation and external value is just the feedback you feel. Me. Your internal value is your foundation, and the external value the value that people tell you, you know, things that you see, that's just feedback, but it's all based on your internal value has to be the foundation. Yeah, but when your value is external, like when you in value the external things, then your piece is temporary at best, in most cases, is non existent. Because think about it, if your piece, if your value is external, then that means you're always performing, like you're always in a space of performing. And if you're always in a space of performing, then when do you ever find peace? You feel me? So, no, you have to really have these questions and really look at yourself. When your value is external, your peace is temporary at best, usually non existent. And we talked about your habits, and your habits truly reflect what you believe about yourself. How you treat your time, how you tolerate disrespect, how you overwork, how you avoid rest. Those aren't random behaviors. They are habits that are shaped by what you think you're worth. Yeah, so, in reflection, what do your daily habits say you believe gives you value? What your daily habits say you believe gives you value? That's something to think about. Seeing an unseen box. And what's up with your homies? Salute to you old school win Saline the building. What's up with your homie? Salut? Yeah? Yeah, when you look at your daily habits, what do your daily habits say you believe gives you value, because we'll say, all this gives me value. That gives me value. This gives me value. But then your daily habits will say something else you understand. So once we understand value, right, and we took it. Once we conquered the conversation about value, then we started to move into behavior. This is where it really gets funky. This is where it really gets funky. That episode. That episode was the uh. That show was the habit loop explained why you keep doing what you swore you'd stop. And the first thing that we did was we removed shame from the conversation. It's not a shameful conversation. In these conversations that we're having, we're trying to get more insight man the month of January with regard to our self Mastery Blueprint from the Simple Truth Minute Manual system, we realized that this month was about, in turn, excuse me, intentional awareness. We are trying to heighten our awareness about ourselves top the bottom, be intentionally aware. And I've been having conversations with you while those of you all who are working through the self Mastering Blueprint, those of you all who are not, I don't know what you're waiting for the book. The books are there. You can go get the Self Mastery Blue excuse me. You can go get the Simple Truth Minute Manual Book, the second edition. You can also pick up the Self Master excuse me, the Simple Truth Minute Manual Planner. They're both there for you. Go pick them up. That's all it is to it. I don't know if y'all I think y'all be waiting on me to sell y'all on it and to coerce you all, and so on and so forth. I'm just gonna tell you that if you don't have it yet, you're three weeks behind, so you got some catching up to do. But if you want to master yourself and you really want to change, that's there. It's there for you. But so we removed shame from the conversation and we talked about how habits aren't moral failures. Your habits are systems. Do you understand that your habits are a system like you take your individual habit, It's a system, you feel me. And the most powerful part of this was that we took your habits and we broke the habit down into three parts. Who we did some work. We took the habit, and we broke the habit down into three parts. Every habit that you have, there are three parts. I'm about to pull the plug on this whole show. Salute to everybody, Salute to everybody taking time to the Salute to everybody listening to the podcast. Shout out to the replay game. We broke it down into three parts. You have your cue, right, you have the actual action, and then you have the reward. And I was calling it car, car, your habit car. You have a queue, you have a routine or excuse me, an action, routine action that's the actual habit itself, and then you have the reward. That's it. And your brain repeats what gives you what, what gives it relief? Like, that's what your brain does. Your brain will repeat what gives it release, not what sounds noble. You understand what I'm saying. So meaning, you did a habit, your habit, you did it one time, it gave you some relief, because that's what your that's what your brain is, that's what you that's what you're looking for. You're looking for relief. When you're triggered by something, you're looking for relief. Okay, but anyway, You don't break habits by trying harder. You break habits by redesigning the loop. Because the habits are gonna be there. You're gonna have a car. Like you're gonna have the car, you gonna have the the queue, you're gonna have the action, you gonna have the rewards. You understand what I'm saying. The power is once you're aware of it, Now you can make a conscientious decision on how to treat the habit. You understand, so you can change the app So let's say once again, you're triggered by something and it brings you some anxiousness. Right, So if you're triggered by something, let's say at work, and it gives you some anxiousness, and usually you go outside and just smoke a cigarette. You feel me. So instead of going outside and smoking a cigarette, when once you get that once you get that queue or that trigger, that's the que and you have those feelings and the action is usually go smoke a cigarette. Instead of going to smoke a cigarette, why don't you go take a brisk walk? You feel me? And then if once you go take the brisk walk, then your reward is always going to the relief that you feel you understand. So that's just an example of how you can literally just go in and change the actual action to make it more positive or to make it more aligned with what you say you actually value as it relates to your life. But anyway, you don't break habits by trying harder. You break habits by redesigning the loop period. And this is why people know better but still repeat patterns because they have not redesigned the loop. And once a habit is automatic, it doesn't ask for permission, you feel me. Once a habit is automatic, you don't ask for permission, you get emotional and you start eating. Once it's automatic, like it doesn't ask you for permission. But change starts when you can identify the queue, you can understand the reward that your brain is seeking, and then you can swap out the routine and redesign the environment. That's why we say all the well, I say all the time like there's nothing I'm telling you. There's no amount of money, no amount of money that is worth you spending your whole days in a place that you hate. There's no amount of money that is worth you spending a day of your life in a place that you hate, a place that haunts you, a place that when you go in, you gotta sit in your car twenty minutes before you go in, the place that you gotta leave and go sit in your car and get your mind right. You feel me and those of you all who have ever had If you have a job and it brings you to tears and you literally cry about work, and I mean literally me and y'all too, y'all know we do we do it. We do it differently. Man. We try to do the strong, silent cry. But you have emotional outburst about your job. There is nothing, no amount of money that's worth that love whatsoever, redesign your all. Right, So then we then we we we we We went into episode three, which was Triggers, Patterns and Reactions, and we and we went, we went, we went deeper. You understand what I'm saying. Yeah, we connected our habits to our emotions, stress, boredom, anxiety, loneliness. Most habits, they don't start with intention. Your habits start with a feeling. I don't know if you know that or not, but we talked about it. Habits start with a feeling. They don't start with intention. You understand what I'm saying they start with a feeling. And if you don't feel your emotions, if you don't allow yourself to feel your emotions, then you act them out. Yeah, and your reactions are not personality like people will will will try to claim their reactions and their emotional reactions as their personality. But it's not like I'm just angry, like You're not there's You're not just an angry person. You're not angry person. You feel me. You are you are. You are a person that's acting out your emotions. I'm just inconsistent. I'm just bad with money. No, those are not identity. Those are practice patterns. You have a practice pattern. You feel me, so like being an angry person. You act out and you lash out at people in an angry way because that gives you some sense of reward. You feel me. Some people like the like the reward, like the feeling of being able to mess up people's days. I know that's crazy. Some people like the feeling of being able to, uh figuratively speaking, beat up on other people. You feel me. People like the ability like to be able to say stuff to people and beat up on people without getting punched in their fucking face, You feel me. That's a reward to some people. That's why some people act the way that they act. People are have become uh driven by the rewards that they feel for those behaviors. You understand what I'm saying, but it's practice patterns. That's not their identity. The key takeaway from that, from that whole that whole conversation was that you have to take a pause between your trigger and your reaction. And that's where your self mastery lives before you act out, Between the time that you trigger and you engage in the behavior, you have to take that pause. You feel me, you have to take that pause. But all right, it's the big picture. It's the big picture. These were not three separate conversations. They were one progression. You feel me. They were one progression. So if we really take a look at it. Number one, value determines what you tolerate and what you chase. Your value determines what you tolerate and what you chase, especially from yourself. Don't leave that out. Value determines what you tolerate and chase. And when I say value, I'm talking about your self value, your internal not external. Your internal value will determine what you tolerate and what you chase. Number two is that habits form around what you think gives relief or worth. Your habits form around what you think gives you relief or what gives you worth. And number three is triggers and patterns keep those habits running automatically. You feel me, it keeps those habits running automatically. So number one, values determines what you tolerate and chase, especially your internal value, and especially what you tolerate and you chase from an internal standpoint. Number two, habits form around what you think gives you relief or worth. Habits form around what gives you what you can do to give your brain. And then triggers and your patterns keep those habits running automatically. Once you get relief from a pattern, you're gonna come back to it. You feel me, You're gonna come back to it. Yeah. So, when value is unclear, habits become unconscious, and when habits are unconscious, triggers run your life. And this is how people end up busy, exhausted, and unfulfilled without knowing why. Hence that's who's flying your plane. You understand what I'm saying. Hopefully, hopefully I didn't. I didn't. I didn't shake some of y'all off. Y'all not really talking in the chat, so hopefully I didn't shake y'all off. But I'm gonna slow it down when y'all one time, I'm gonnachop a screw it for you. When when your value, when value is unclear, your habits become unconscious. You feel me. When your habits are unconscious, then triggers run your life. And this is how people end up busy, exhausted, and unfulfilled without knowing why. That's how you end up on auto autopilot. Your value is unclear. When your value is clear, right then you're very conscious about what you're doing. You're very conscious about how you spending your time. You're very conscious about conversations that you're having. You're very conscious about what you're consuming. You feel me physically, mentally, and spiritually. You feel me. What are you consuming? You're very conscious about where you spend your time, where you are your circle. You're very conscious about your energy. You're very conscious about the energy that you allow around you. You feel me. You are very conscious about these things. When your value is clear, and when your value is clear, then triggers don't run your life. You really are aware of triggers. You're really aware, and you realize that triggers are not a are not a are, not a pass to act like a jackass. You understand because you understand that acting out does not align with your value. Acting out in certain ways doesn't align with your value. You feel me your value has to be clear. The more clear you make your value, the more you're able to control your habits, and the more you can take your life off autopilot. That's it. Autopilot is attached directly to the fact that your value is unclear and that your habits have become unconscious. And when your habits are unconscious, triggers run your life. So if you don't take nothing else from last week's conversation, I need you to take that. Take this. You don't change your life by forcing discipline, You change your life by seeing clearly. Yeah, so a couple of reflection questions that you should be asking yourself and I'm out your way. Who determines my value? This is what you should be asking yourself. Who determines my value? What habits does that belief create? What habits does that belief create. So once you answer who determines your value? Then what habits does that belief create? And what triggers keep those habits alive? Man, this is the Black Coffee Man host about yours truly Junior, the truth Man, It's twenty twenty six. Were not rushing, We not rushing transformation.
