Your Purpose Is Dying Because Your Feelings Are in Charge

Your Purpose Is Dying Because Your Feelings Are in Charge | The Black Coffee Club™

Your purpose cannot survive if your feelings keep overruling your commitments.

In this episode of The Black Coffee Club™, JuniorTheTruth™ delivers a direct conversation about emotional decision-making, discipline, personal standards, and the stability required to protect your purpose.

Feelings are real, but they are not reliable leaders. When frustration, fear, fatigue, insecurity, boredom, or temporary excitement control your behavior, your life becomes reactive. You avoid hard conversations, abandon meaningful work, break commitments, and repeatedly delay the future you claim to want.

This episode explores:

Why feelings should provide information, not authority
How emotional decisions quietly sabotage purpose
Why discipline acts as a guardrail for your standards
How to create space between impulse and action
Why stability strengthens trust, endurance, and leadership
How consistency keeps purpose alive after motivation fades
Why disciplined responses matter more than perfect emotions

Your purpose is not dying because you lack potential.

It is dying because your feelings keep receiving the final vote.

Let's get to a top of the day, grab your coffee, and let's tell the truth this morning. Apologies for my ATARTI I was renegotiating with my standards this morning, you feel me. I was caught red handed renegotiating with my standards this morning. But let's tell the truth. This morning. You keep saying you have a purpose. You keep saying you have a purpose. You keep saying, there's something that you're supposed to build, something you're supposed to build, something you're supposed to become, something you're supposed to contribute. You say, the vision matters, the family matters, the business matters, the book matters, the assignment matters, your health matters, your future matters. But every time your feelings change, your your behavior changes with them. When you feel excited, you work. When you feel discouraged, you disappear when you feel confident. You move when you feel uncertain. You hesitate when you feel appreciated. You give your best when you feel overlooked. You withdraw when you feel inspired. You call it purpose. When the inspiration leaves, you call it a sign. No, it may not be a sign. May not be a sign. I'm just gonna say that, it just may not be a sign. You may simply be emotionally undisciplined. Yeah, you just may be simply emotionally undisciplined. And that is the conversation we need to have. Because your purpose is not dying because you lack potential. It's not dying because you do not have enough information. It's not dying because your timing is imperfect. Your purpose is dying because your feelings keep overruling your commitments. That's a bar. Your purpose is dying because your feelings keep overruling your commitments. Yeah, that's my that's my verdict for the day. Your purpose is not dying because you lack potential. It is dying because your feelings keep overruling your commitments. See, your purpose requires stability. Purpose requires repetition. You feel me, It requires repetition. Purpose requires you to continue after the emotional excitement disappears. What them boys say, after that love is gone? You feel me? Y'all not talking to me today? Why are y'all not responding? Why y'all so quiet? Geez Louise another the grace that I am emotionally undisciplined, Nella, I am emotionally undisciplined in. A real way. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Purpose requires you continue to requires you to continue after the emotional excitement disappears. After that love is gone, you feel me. But if every decision must first receive approval from your mood. If every decision must first receive approval from your mood, you will never remain committed long enough to build anything meaningful. I just hit myself upside the head and I feel dizzy. If every decision must first receive approval from your mood, you will never remain committed long enough to build anything meaningful. You cannot construct a purpose driven life with emotionally reactive behavior. It's not possible, you feel me, It's not possible. My brother King Vonnie said, I'm listening, wait on my moment to add to the conversation. You just did. You just did salute the for our sniper snipe in the building. What's up with you? Yeah? Man, you cannot construct a purpose driven life with emotionally reactive behavior. You cannot keep changing direction every time the internal weather changes. Yeah. You can't claim that. Something matters deeply while only honoring it when doing so feels convenient. You honor this shit when it feels convenient. Man, Watch this, Joe. Your purpose is not merely what excites you. Your purpose is not merely what excites you. Salute the upboxing the barbecue in a building yeah. Your purpose is not merely what excites you. Purpose is what continues to require something from you after the excitement is gone. Yeah, and some of us are not losing our purpose. We are abandoning our purpose in small emotional moments, one frustrated decision at a time, one delayed commitment at a time, one comfort driven excuse at a time, one of them. I'll do it tomorrow's at a time. You feel me? Yeah, I'm telling you the man man, I woke up and and chose war. You feel me because I'm tired of me. Man, I'm tired of me. I'm tired of me. One comfort driven excuse at a time. Did you hear me? Your excuses are driven by comfort one of them, I'll do it tomorrow's at a time. Yeah. Yeah. Your purpose is not always killed dramatically. It's not always killed dramatically. Sometimes it's neglected quietly. Let's get one. So I've hustled harder than the moment. I'm a feast on these streets. Got a revolver I told for these niggas trying to take me off the block where I pointed up Daily, Si, Dailey's out the bottles smoke. Yes, Lord, yes, lord ah. Every time I hear a scarface when he says eh, I say, yup. We here. All right, man, Let's be clear. Let's be clear. I'm not telling you that your feelings don't matter. This is this whole conversation is inspired by our conversation which we leaned heavy on the feelings yesterday Jared O eleeven Green in a building, what's up with your family? We leaned heavy on our feelings yesterday. Right, I'm not telling you your feelings don't matter. Feelings are great. Frustration is real, Fear is real, Fatigue is real, disappointment is real. Insecurity is real, grief is real. Boredom is real. Only fools get bored, but boredom is real. Excitement is real. But something can be real without being qualified to lead. You understand what I'm saying, And that is where many people lose control. That's where we lose control. We confuse emotional authenticity with emotional authority. We confuse emotional authenticity with emotional authority. You feel me, We say shit, like this is how I feel, so I have to honor it. Like this is how I feel, so I have to honor it. I'm not gonna ignore my feelings. No, you should acknowledge your feelings. You should acknowledge you feel me. Acknowledge it, you feel that, acknowledge it. You should examine it, Examine it. You feel me, You should You should understand it, You should work to understand it. But you do not have to obey it. You understand what I'm saying. Yeah, you ever, I'm just talking. Do I want to do that? Maybe I'll do it like I'm just talking about me. You understand what I'm saying. I'm just talking about me, Joe said, But not let them guide you. You feel me. I can be sitting there talking to somebody and somebody say something disrespectful to me, and in my mind, I'm thinking I should punch this motherfucker square in they nose. You feel me, So I got to acknowledge that. Then let me examine that, like why you feel me? Then let me understand it, because I have zero tolerance for disrespect. But I do not have to obey that because I can understand the direct consequence from punching this motherfucker square in the face. Yeah, feelings are real, but they are not qualified to govern your life. That's the whole You understand what I'm saying. That's the whole premise of the conversation. Feelings are real, but they are not qualified to govern your life. An emotion, emotion can An emotion can inform the decision. Your feelings may tell you that you're overwhelmed. That's information that they do not auto automatically mean you should quit. You feel me. Your feelings may tell you that you're afraid. That's information, but they do not automatically mean that the opportunity is wrong. Understand. Your feelings may tell you that you are bored. That's information, but they don't automatically mean your commitment has lost its value. Your feelings may tell you you're angry. That's information, but they don't automatically give you permission to destroy a relationship. You understand what I'm saying. The emotion is a signal, it's not a command. Yeah. But when emotions are play in charge, then your life becomes reactive. Yeah, your life becomes reactive. Yeah, you you will you you? You avoid uh the hard conversations because excuse me, because this comfort is in charge. Right, this comfort is in charge, So you avoid hard conversations. You you delay the important work because fatigue is in charge. You abandon the standard because frustration is in charge. Yeah, you spend money you shouldn't spend because stress is in charge. You quit the you quit the process because disappointment is in charge. You overreact to small setbacks because insecurity is in charge. Yeah, you chase. Something new because temporary excitement is in charge. Do you see what I'm doing here? And then you you you, then you you call an instability institution. Excuse me? You call I said institution. I can't read intuition. You go through all of that and then you call the instability intuition. Nah, it's not intuition. It's being emotionally undisciplined. You understand what I'm saying. All of that instability, it's not intuition, it's literally instability. Sometimes you call sometimes what you call. Intuition is simply an undisciplined emotional response. Yeah, motherfucker is. And they run it. Both fuckers are running up like, oh man, you know, my gut was just telling me and I'm a and i'm a just so you just so you so we're clear. I'm a gut person. I'm a gut person. Yeah, I believe in I believe in listening to your gut. I believe in examining what's there. I believe in in looking into it further. But I also understand that we cannot allow our emotions to lead. That is emotional immaturity. Yeah yeah, Sometimes what you call intuition is simply an undisciplined emotional response. And you gotta learn the difference. You gotta learn the difference because feelings change quickly. Feelings change like that. Consequences they stay longer. Family consequences stay longer. Yeah, you can. You can send a text in ten seconds, but you, but you, but you might have to spend ten months repairing a relationship, y'all, don't hear me though, You spend ten months repairing a relationship from a text that only took ten seconds. You can quit in one afternoon, but you spend years wondering what would have happened have you remained committed. That's the story of my life. Understand what I'm saying. That's the story of my life. One emotional decision after another, You understand, and then I'm left with what would have happened had I stayed committed to that? You spend years wondering what would have happened? Had you remain committed. You can abandon your standard in one week moment, But rebuilding trust with yourself after you've abandoned your standard, man, that takes time. And that's why your feelings can't be in charge. Your feelings are too temporary to have a permanent Authority's are your feelings are too temporary to have permanent authority. And the people whose feelings because we know them. We know people who are our age, who are older. Some of us were raised by people who their feelings had permanent authority. Their temporary feelings have permanent authority. Your feelings cannot be in charge. They are too temporary to have permanent authorities. South to my brother ab over on the rumble, I'll see you, he says. That's my biggest fear. I gotta stick I gotta stick it out until I get an emphatic no from the universe. Yeah, and then and even then, No, ain't always no, bro, Sometimes no, it's just not yet. Sometimes No, it's just not yet. You feel me. Your feelings cannot be in charge, family, They are too temporary to have permanent authority. Don't that's man, just we can just that you feel me, don't abandon that purpose is rarely destroyed in one enamorous mistake. Though one enamorous mistake rarely destroys your purpose, very very very rarely. Yeah, it is usually weakened by repeated emotional inconsistency. Yeah. You say you called to build something, but your work depends on how confident you feel. Did you hear what I said? You say you are called to build something, but your work depends on how confident you feel. You say your health matters, but your habits depend on how energetic you feel. You say your marriage matters, but your communication depends on whether you feel appreciated. You say your children matter, but your prayer depends on how stressful your day was, And some of y'all should be slapping the shit out yourself. You hear what I said? You say your children matter, but your presence in their lives depends. On how stressful your day was. You say integrity matters, but your honesty depends on how comfortable the truth will be. Yeah, Yeah, that's the problem. You stated your values and your emotional habits are fighting each other. Your stated values and your emotional habits are fighting each other. You state this is the value, but your habits. Your emotional habits do something totally different, and they are at odds. They fight each other, and your habits are winning. Your habits are winning. Purpose cannot survive that contradiction forever, period. Your purpose cannot survive that tradiction. You cannot keep saying this matters to me while repeatedly behaving as though, uh, your. Mood matters more. Phelix says, So what you're saying is a crash out is never its never valid. Now, there's there's things that there's things that there's things. To to to to go off about. But but we know people that crash out all the time, right, And so if you a motherfucker that, like, really, man, I'm about to I'm about to, I'm about to take this down through there, Felix. But okay, jeez, Louise, man. So there's things to go the whole yard about. There's things to go the entire you can go the whole length of the field about, you feel me, There're things to absolutely things to totally lose your mind, to lose your religion, to lose your sanity, and to lose your freedom over there are things that yeah, constitute that, right, But the people who crash out, especially in people who use the word crash out all the time. You know what I'm saying, like, yeah, I'm a crash out. I'm a crash out. Are people who have emotional explosions over everything. You understand what I'm saying. That's not that. Like I said, there's reasons to crash to, to go the whole yard about stuff, but to crash out over everything. Nah, And they call themselves crash out like I'm a crash out. Really, you're an emotionally unstable little bitch. That's what a grown man will tell you. You're really an emotionally unstable little bitch. A grown man, you call yourself a crash out, bro really an emotionally unstable, emotionally immature, unstable little bit. Yeah, because if everything can cause you to act out emotionally. So I'm not saying the crash out, I'm not saying it's never valid. Like I said, there's there's some things that are uh uh uh uh, there are some things for you to you know, go the whole yard about. You understand what I'm saying. Like if I was to use the crash out like, yeah, I would crackh Yeah, if you make my kids feel uncomfortable. Y'all will crash out, and that what they say, like you bother my children, y'all will crash out. You feel me? Yeah, yeah, you bother. You bother my wife? Yeah I will. I will crash out like I will. You understand what I'm saying. You know how people you know have this thing where these kids and you know, people are getting their kids removed from the planet. You understand what I'm saying. Like a motherfucker like me will eradicate your entire You understand I'm coming. I'm coming. You bother my cheer round, I'm coming. You see what I'm saying. So there's things that constitute a crash out, But people who use the word crash out and describe themselves as crash out. You know, I'm a crash out. Yeah, I'm a crash out. Yeah, I'm a crash out. Ah Nah, you're emotionally immature, unstable little bit. And that's what a respectfully and that's what a grown man will tell you. And you see these men running around acting out emotionally. I see it all the time because you know, I'm a proponent, I'm a pundit in the sport of boxing. So I see these motherfuckers that crash out and they going on social media and they're acting all crazy, and I'm a crash out and they acting emotional about everything. Yeah, you are. Emotionally immature, unstable, a little bitch, respectfully, Boxington Barbecue saying that was hard. So I'm just saying, okay. So I'm just saying the shit that everybody sit scared, like motherfuckers don't want to say it, yef. Motherfucker's waiting to say it. If everything makes everything, if everything makes you crash out, motherfuckers crash. Out every day. May get out of here, bro. Like nah man, and I don't nah And like I said, just the word in and of itself, crash out. That got a certain level of sassiness to it for me. I'm under the old laws, raised by the old men. I'm under the old law. You understand what I'm saying, Like I ain't, ah man, I'm under the money, the old law. You know what I'm saying. I'm You know what I mean. I'm you know twenty two in my dress who I'm one of them. You understand what I'm stabbying and keep a clean hand. I'm one of them. You feel me get you get I'm one of them. So yeah, So. Anyway, man, they said, you don't really speak on it. It just it just it just happens. Yeah, it's not. Yeah, some motherfuckers that be premeditating. What was that was that Joe who said that? Joe said that, Yeah, planning crash out is instability. But Felix said, he said, not trying to fear the convo. But did you see the story of the mom who shot the guy she found under her daughter's bed. Nah, I didn't see that. See that's valid, that's valid. See Boxington Barbecue said, I was this close to crashing out yesterday from a spreadsheet I had been working on all day. That didn't save. You. Just about to have an explosion, bro Man, them spreadshet he's not saving. Man, them documents not saving Hey man, that'll cause you to that'll cause you to have a And see it ain't like for me like and that's why I say, like you can't like everything ain't a crash out like I have meltdowns. You feel me like I like I can understand the meltdown, but crashing out like it's like nobody's gonna be able to stop it like yeah, and it ends and it doesn't end. Well, you feel me like crashing out, nah, man, like crash when you see that's the thing about the human language. When you say shit like crash like crash is like that's that's for me. That equals carnage Like crash is like carnage. You feel me like, nah, like crashing out. Somebody ain't here no more. You feel me that is crashing out. Meltdown is that's totally different? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, the Big Dad says, he said, that's until you find out. You know what I'm saying. They've been coming They've been coming by for two years. Yeah, that's a cold game. Yeah, that's a cold game. Man. I done lost mine. I done lost my whole train of thought. Your state of values and your emotional habits are fighting each other, and your habits are always winning, and purpose can't survive that contradiction. You understand what I'm saying. You can't say that this matters to me while repeating the behavior as though your move matters more. And for a lot of us, move matters more. And at some point what you repeatedly choose becomes the truth. What you repeatedly, choose becomes the truth. Now, you may say the mission matters, but if comfort consistently defeats the mission, then comfort is your actual priority. You might say your family matters, but if frustration controls your presence, frustration is. Leading the family. Yeah. You might say your future matters, but if fear keeps canceling your action, then fear is shaping your future. And this is why emotional decision making is so destructive. It don't always look like this. It always don't. It don't always look destructive in the moment you feel me, Sometimes it feels protective. I'm just protecting my peace. Are you you feel me? Or are you avoiding accountability? I'm listening to myself. Are you or are you obeying your temporary emotion? I'm waiting until the time it feels right, Like, motherfucker, are you or are you hiden from the possibility of failure? You scared? And I wish. Motherfuckers would just tell the truth. You scared, You're hot. You're not waiting until the time feels right. Your ass is scared, and you scare the failure Because in this new world, in twenty twenty six and beyond, in this new world of social media where you fuckers get up every day and you fixate over people's lives. I might be crashing out Felix, and you fixate over everybody's life and what other motherfuckers got going on. You scared to actually try something and put yourself out there and the shit don't work because you feel like you gonna look stupid, and you got to go into hiding. You understand what I'm saying. You gotta go in the hiding. You got to hide your face so you only post the shit that's working. Joe punk Ass. Ain't that funny that? No, don't nobody go to social media and say, hey, man, I'm fucked up. Hey man, I fucked up? Nah. Motherfuckers posts on social media when they on the island and they on the boat and they sipping, they sipping up, sipping my ties down in the vaida with Tai Tai Aha. Ain't nobody on this beach saying man, I'm fucked up. Bruh, Like man, I tried this shit and it didn't work. You feel me, man, I'm about to lose my family. Man, my kids don't fuck with me. You feel me? Man? My wife stepped out on me, man, I'm tripping. Life is fucked up. Nah, everybody got the shit together. Everybody got the shit together. Everybody the biggest players, they got the biggest bank rows, motherfuckers. Is everybody's kids is well and taking care of everybody kids, fuck with them. Everybody's mama the year, Daddy of the year, all that bullshit. Everybody posting their highlights. And you take that shit seriously, and so you scared to try because you think you gonna fail. You motherfuckers think that if you actually apply yourself to something, and you actually dedicate your life to building something and it don't work, you gotta face a bunch of miscellaneous motherfuckers that don't matter anyway. They don't matter. And here's a news flash for you. Make sure you listening. They don't fuck with you no way. How many people actually call you without you having to call to them. I got like three people that call me without me having to call them. When the last time my mother, these motherfuckers called you and they didn't need something, When the last time somebody called you and said, hey, I was just calling to see how you was doing. Or do they call and say, hey. Dans I got a link I got a little leak under the scene. Can you come look at this, fummy. I'm waiting until the time feels right. Man, fuck you, You ain't waiting until the time feels right. You hiding from the possibility for the possibility of failure. I need to take a step back. Maybe you do? Maybe you do? Or are you? Are you stepping back to recover or are you stepping away from responsibility? The guy said, I had to hold back from calling yesterday. I feel like we've been talking too much. We do talk too much, bro, and talk every damn dad shit stupid, like we gotta talk every other day. You know what I said, I just slid down the wall. Are you taking a step back to recovery? You're stepping away from responsibility? Man? And this is this is where self honesty matters. You feel me? This is what self honesty matters. Because emotionally driven people can create a sophisticated language of avoidance. Man, that's a that man. Listen to me. Let me say this to you. Emotionally driven people can create a sophisticated language of avoidance. Yeah, motherfucker. Is The talk circles around the fact that they avoiding some shit. They can make quentin sound like alignment. They can make inconsistency sound like flexibility. That man, let me slow down, because I want you all to get this. Listen to me. You gotta be careful with yourself. You gotta be careful with yourself because emotionally driven people can create sophisticated language for avoidance. It is a sophisticated language of avoidance that we are all fluid in. You're still what I'm saying, Like, listen to me, Like when I'm stupid, but when I talk to people and I'm talking to you about some shit you told me you want to build, you feel me and you and you get to talking to me, I'm seeing the sophisticated web that your ass is weaving of, and it's the language of avoidance. And you weave this web and then you go lay your punk ass in it. You make quitin's sound like it's alignment. You make inconsistency sound like it's flexibility. You make fear sound like wisdom. You ain't wise, motherfucker. You scared. Yeah, you make irresponsibility sound like self care. Oh, I just gotta take care of myself, so I just gotta go take them. I'm just gonna go lay on the resort for two weeks, man, And uh shit, I only got three thousand in my bank account and I spent I spent twenty six hundred on this trip. Have you ever talked to a motherfucker and they make irresponsibility sound like self care? Like? Now, that's irresponsible. Man. I'm not against rest, I'm not against reflection. I'm not against changing directions when the evidence requires it. You feel me, But there's a difference between an attentional adjustment and an emotional escape. And we spend our lives emotionally escaping shit. You feel me. Purpose requires you to know the difference. It requires you to know the difference because every time you allow a temporary feeling to cancel a meaningful commitment, you teach yourself something. I'm gonna say it again. Every time you allow a temporary feeling to cancel a meaningful commitment, you teach yourself something. You teach yourself that your word is negotiable and it ain't shit. If your word is negotiable, it ain't shit. You teach yourself that discomfort has authority in your life. You teach yourself that your standards only apply when conditions are favorable when it's easy. You teach yourself that your purpose is optional, and over time the purpose does not simply lose a momentum, You lose trust in yourself. And some of y'all are standing the right here listening to me, knowing full in the hell, well, you have lost trust in yourself, and I don't give a fuck. How you how you paint it up? You can dress it up. You can put a bowl, a tie of fucking some some. You can put a motherfucking uh uh what do you call that a designer handbag on it? I don't give a fuck. You have lost trust in yourself. You have lost trust in yourself, and you are dressing it up for the world. Yeah, and that's one of the deepest consequences of our lives. You stop believing in your own You stop believing your own declarations. You say you're. Gonna begin but but, but part of you already knows that you're probably not gonna continue. You create another plan, but you no longer trust yourself to execute it. Yeah. Yeah, you make another promise, but your own history tells you that your feelings might cancel the promise. Yeah. Now you not only fighting the challenge in front of you, but you're fighting the evidence behind you. Yeah, and that's why this shit is bigger than productivity. We come in here and talk about production, and I've talked about productivity and what you're produce and so on and so forth. This shit is deeper. It's deeper. It's about self trust. And self trust is rebuilt when your behavior becomes more stable than your emotions. Because you know, you know, you don't trust yourself like y'all can play. It's too many unaccomplished projects. You motherfuckers is coming in here talking to me every day about shit that y'all working on, that y'all been working on for three four years. Yeah, I come in here and talk to y'all about shit that I've been working on for three four years. Yeah. We don't trust ourselves. We have gotten into the space where we don't trust ourselves. Ain't about productivity, it's about our trus yourself, and self trust is rebuilt when your behavior becomes more stable than your emotions. Man, I should literally stop there. I should literally stop there because I feel like throwing my equipment because that's the bar of all bars. You don't trust yourself, but self trust is rebuilt when your behavior becomes more standard, more stable than your emotions. Let me say it again. You don't trust yourself like you gotta be honest. You don't trust yourself and self trust is rebuilt when your behavior becomes more stable than your emotions. And this is one of the ones. I think y'all gonna have to come back and run this one back. This is where discipline enters the conversation. Discipline is not punishment. Discipline is not punishment. Discipline is not punishment. I think I'm gonna put that on the T shirt the guy I'm gona put I'm about to put that on the T shirt. Man, I'm gonna send it to you. Bro. I'm gonna or bring it to you one of them too. Mh I'm gonna put that on the T shirt and bring that to you, bro. Discipline is not punishment. Discipline is not punishment. Discipline is protection. Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah yeah. Discipline is protection. My mind just went somewhere. I'm sorry. It protects your future from your impulses. It protects your standards from your moods. It protects your purpose from the version of you that wants immediate relief more than long term fulfillment. Man, Think about a guardrail on a on a on a mountain road. Think about a guardrail on a mountain road. Y'all not hearing me, though, Hold on? Let me y'all y'all not hearing me. Think about a guardrail on a mountain road. Can y'all tell them? I'm like literally what they call it. I'm in my bag like I'm literally in a in a pocket. You feel me. I'm literally in the pocket. Think about the guard of guardrail on a on a on a on a windy mountain, a mountain road. Man in a thunderstorm, you feel me. The guard rail does not drive the car. The guard rail does not choose the destination. The guardrail does not control the weather. The purpose of the guardrail is to prevent one moment of drifting from becoming a disaster. Man, I'm in my bag. Wait the motherfuck you. I'm in my pocket like a rocket. I'm in my pocket like a rocket. Did you hear what I said? If you look at discipline, your discipline, what the fuck is disciplined? Think about discipline and the image is on the screen for y'all who you know who ain't checking and you're not paying attention. It's on the screen. For those of you are who tune in live, it's on the screen. You feel me. It's also the thumbnail of the day's video. Think about discipline as a guard rail on a mountain road in a thunderstorm. The guardrail does not drive the car, It does not choose the destination, it does not control the weather. The sole purpose of the guardrail is to prevent one moment of drifting from becoming a disaster. And that's what discipline does. Discipline is the. Guardrail that protects your purpose when your emotions begin to swerve. Shit, I don't even I don't even know what the push. I don't even know what the push. You feel me. Discipline is the guardrail that protects your purpose when your emotions begin to swerve. I don't even I literally don't even want to talk. No more, all of you will talking. I want to get to I want to get to work. He said, he said, you in your pot, He said, you in your pot of Joe failm the spending cups of that ooh wee. Ay man say man. Discipline is the guardrail that protects your purpose when your emotions begin to swerve. You can feel tired and still honor the commitment. You can feel doubtful and still complete the next step. You can feel angry and still control your words. You can feel afraid and still move with wisdom. You can feel disappointment and still refuse to abandon the standard. Discipline does not require you to become emotionless, y'all. Don't hear me though. Discipline does not require you to become emotionless. Saluted my brother Felix Douas in the Super chat Man. Thank you, Bro. I appreciate he said good. He says good stuff today, My g Yes, sir, yes, sir, yes, sir, I got plenty more. We got plenty more man, We got work to do, and we're not playing around. We're not playing around. Discipline does not require you to become emotionless. It requires you to stop making them, Stop making emotions sovereign, you feel me, stop grunting your emotion sovereignty. Yeah, discipline says I hear what I feel, but I will not obey it automatically. That space matters. I hear what I feel, but I will not obey it automatically. Yeah, that space matters. The space between impulsts and action. You feel me. It's like double dust, just a little. You got a little space in there, you feel me. That space matters. The space between impulst and action, the space between anger and response, you feel me. The space between fatigue and quittin you feel me, The space between fear and avoidance, the space between excitement and impulsiveness. Yeah, that space is where your leadership lives. Without discipline, the impulse becomes the action. Without discipline, the impulse has to excuse me. With discipline, the impulse has to pass through your standards first. Bridge three TV, what's up with your homies? Salute to your family? Yeah, with discipline, your impulses have to pass through your standards. Without discipline, your impulst has become actions quick. Once again. With discipline, your impulst has to pass through your standards first. That's the guardrail. You feel me, You feel me, You feel me, Vinie, you feel me, King Vonnie. That Yeah, that's how my Papa said, give it that little eddy bitty space. Yeah, that's the guardrail. Yeah. You ask, does this decision align with who I say I am? Does this protect what I say matters? I gotta go, Why don't y'all? And tell me we fifty minutes in, does this protect what I say matters with tomorrow's version of me? Respect today's choice? Am I making this decision from truth? Or temporary? It's comfort? Is this rest or? Is this retreat? Is this wisdom? Or is this fear? Is this redirection? Or it is this avoidance? And that is disciplined self leadership. Yeah. And the higher, the higher your purpose, the more necessary the guardrail becomes. You feel me, because the more meaning for the assignment, the more emotions you will experience while carrying it, you feel me. The higher the purpose, the more necessary to guardrail becomes. All my educators, everybody that's influencing the babies. Do you understand how important your guardrail is? Neela the guy, all my teachers, Do you understand how important your guardrail is? Yeah? Yeah, your guardrail is. Ah. The more meaningful the assignment, the more emotions you will experience, and while carrying it, you feel me. You feel you. Gonna feel pressure, you gonna feel uncertainty, you gonna feel resistance, and you're gonna feel alone. You understand what I'm saying. You're gonna feel alone. Yeah, you gonna you gonna wonder whether the ship's working or not, you gonna question whether you capable. And that don't mean that the purpose is wrong. It means you a human being. You feel me. You motherfuckers be thinking, especially my educators, y'all be thinking that y'all are superhuman. You human, You understand what I'm saying. But if every difficult feeling becomes a reason to stop, then your purpose will never survive long enough to mature. You need rules, You need standards, You need routine, you need predecisions, You need boundaries. Not because structure is glamorous, but because purpose needs protection. Maybe your standard is I work on the mission every weekday, whether I feel inspired or not. Understand. I do not make major decisions while emotionally flooded. Maybe that's the standard. Maybe your standard is a I do not quit during the difficult week. I sleep on emotional decisions before I act. That's actually one of my standards. Maybe it's I tell the truth even when this comfort is present. Yeah, maybe I complete the minimum requirement even on low energy days. Those are guardrails. They keep one difficult emotion from rearranging your entire the entire life. They keep one difficult emotion from rearranging your entire life. Those are guardrails because, like I told you, your emotions are gonna swerve the purpose of the guard roles is to keep the ship from becoming catastrophic. Yeah, man, I gotta get out of here. I gotta start playing with y'all. And I still get I still got some more. I still we still got some more cooking to do. Man, fuck it. We here. Let's talk about stability. Stable people are not people who never feel anything. You understand what I'm saying. Stable people are not people who never feel anything. Stable people feel deeply. They simply do not collapse every time the feeling changes. You hear me. That's maturity, Like, that's leadership, that's self mastery. Stability is what happens when your standards become stronger than your move. Simply put, I'm sweating shit. Stability is what happens when your standards become stronger than your move. A stable life is not built on perfect feelings. It's built on disciplined responses. But I'm taking this down. This one's going exclusively on the network. I'm gonna I'm gonna run this for about the next hour on and let it and let this on. Let this be on uh, let this be on YouTube for a minute, and I'm taking this down. This is this is exclusive you feel me? Yeah? Yeah. Stability is what happens when your standards become stronger than your mood. A stable life is not built on perfect feelings. It's built on discipline responses. Yeah, you may have an imperfect moment or excuse me, an imperfect morning without creating an unproductive week. But when you undisciplined, you allow fucked up morning to destroy your whole week. Some of us, he destroys the whole month. Yeah, you may experience a disappointment without abandoning the mission. You may have conflict with uh uh with what You may have conflict without destroying a relationship. And some of us like, that's why we were no good in relationships because you can and have a relation because you can't deal with conflict. We do not know how to appropriately deal with conflict. Motherfuckers don't know how to fight. Yeah, motherfuckers be wonting man, let me out, then went off on a tangent. Let me stop. That's a whole different conversation for a whole another day. Yeah, you may experience fear without changing your identity. You understand what I'm saying. You may feel lost temporarily without declaring that your purpose no longer exists. Stable people recover faster because they do not turn every emotional moment into permanent conclusions. Does that make sense. Stable people recover faster because they do not turn every emotional moment into a permanent into a permanent conclusion. I wish t Fiel was in here. Stable people bounce the fuck back quickly because they don't turn every emotional moment into a permanent conclusion. So you be those people that go through shit and you just be looking at them like damn, Like what the like? God? Leave? Yeah. Man. They don't say I failed today, so I'm a failure. They say I felt today. Let me correct the behavior. What went wrong? You understand what I'm saying. They don't say I feel uncertain, so the vision must be wrong. They say, I feel uncertain. Let me return to the evidence and the standard. Let me return to the evidence and the standard. They do not say I'm tired, so nothing matters. They say I'm tired. Let me reduce the load without a banding in the rhythm. You feel me, Let me scale back a little bit without a banding in the rhythm. That's stability, and stability creates credibility. Your family knows what version of you is coming home. Did you hear what I said? Your family knows what version of you is coming home. Your team knows what a standard they will encounter. Your clients know whether your word can be trusted or not. Your community knows whether your presence is dependable. Yeah, you know whether you can rely on yourself or not. That's powerful because purpose is not fulfilled through occasional intensity. Purpose is fulfilled through sustained alignment. Not one strong day, repeated days, not one emotional back breakthrough a stable pattern, not one promise. It's a life that keeps the promise. Consistency is what gives purpose of body. Consistency is what gives purpose a body. Without consistency, your purpose only remains an idea. Did you hear what I said? Because I really just I think we might have just cracked the cold. Consistency is what gives purpose a body. And until you have consistency, then your purpose remains an idea. We'll get. That might have been too much, that might have went over everybody's head. I'm gonna try one more time, because I think you would be I feel like we're at church. I feel like you would be getting up, running around, man, slapping yourself and shit, the drummers would be drumming or some shit. Man, motherfucker's slamming instruments, throwing your pencils. I don't know. Man, take your shirt off, twists around your head like a helicopter. Like consistency, like your consistent acts, like consistency, your consistently consistency. It gives your purpose a body. You feel me. Consistency is like the physical manifestation of your purpose. And without consistency, then your purpose it's just an idea. It's in your head. Until you start consistent, thinly acting until the end, then your your Your purpose is just in your head. It remains an idea. Yeah, and without stability, the idea never becomes a life. So let me close this. Let me close with this, man, because I gotta go. We over an hour, we add an hour. This is stupid. I probably won't even do a show tomorrow. Motherfucker's got to just go catch the replay this, you feel me, This is like two in one. I'm discovered. Let me let me close with this. Your feelings have a place. They do not belong on the throne. Your feelings have a place, but they do not belong on the throne. They do not belong behind the wheel. They do not get the final vote. Your feelings are passengers. They're passengers. You understand. Your standards are the driver. Your discipline is the guardrail, your purpose is the destination, and your stability is what keeps the. Entire journey moving. Yeah. Yeah, So the next time you say I don't feel like it, pause, don't shame yourself. You understand, don't don't uh uh, don't shame yourself. Do not deny the feeling. Just ask one question, What does my purpose require for me today? What does my purpose require from me today? Saluted my sister another the greatness super chat. She said, you chastise me this morning. I appreciate you, Bro, I appreciate you. Love are really true? I really truly do love one. Thank you so much, sister. Yeah, yeah, yeah, don't deny that feeling. Just ask that question. What does my purpose require me today? Maybe it requires full effort, Maybe it requires minimum effort. Maybe the purpose requires rest. Maybe it requires a hard conversation, Maybe it requires silence. Maybe it requires courage. Maybe it's correction, but let the standard decide, not the move. Because your purpose cannot keep surviving emotional abandonment. You understand you cannot keep asking your future to wait until your feelings cooperate. Your life gets stronger and when your emotions become information instead of authority. Your life gets stronger when emotions become information instead of authority. Your purpose gets stronger when discipline protects your commitment, and you become stronger when stability replaces reactivity. Yeah, remember this. Feelings have a place, but they do not belong in the driver's seat. Discipline keeps the will steady. You understand what I'm saying. Standard protects the direction, and stability keeps your purpose alive. Period. Your purpose is not asking you to feel inspired every day. It's asking you to become trustworthy, Trustworthy with the vision, trustworthy with responsibility, Trustworthy with your word, trustworthy with your life.
