You're Not Waiting for a Better Idea. You're Avoiding the Work.

You're Not Waiting for a Better Idea. You're Avoiding the Work. | The Black Coffee Club™ Execution, self-discipline, productivity, personal growth, focus, and intentional living all require one thing many people avoid: the work. Most people are not stuck because they need a better idea. They’re stuck because they refuse to consistently execute the ideas they already have. In this episode of The Black Coffee Club™, JuniorTheTruth™ has a direct conversation about one of the biggest obstacles to progress: Avoidance. People often convince themselves they need:
  • more information
  • more clarity
  • more planning
  • more research
  • a better strategy
But in many cases, the truth is much simpler. They already know enough. The problem isn't knowledge. The problem is execution. This conversation explores:
  • planning vs doing
  • information addiction
  • fear of discomfort
  • perfectionism
  • procrastination
  • execution as commitment
  • why people stall after clarity
  • turning ideas into action
Because here's the truth: Results don't respond to intentions.
Results respond to execution. We'll discuss: ✔ Why people keep delaying action
✔ The difference between clarity and courage
✔ How planning becomes avoidance
✔ Why execution feels uncomfortable
✔ How momentum is built through action
✔ Why commitment is proven through behavior

If you've been collecting information, making plans, setting goals, and still feeling stuck... This conversation is for you.

Shit the half of the year over, Junior been talking he's been telling us. Yeah, we almost This is the first day of the sixth month of the year twenty twenty six. Are you bullshit? Tem? Salute to my brother boxing and barbecuing, up billing. What's up with you, broke? Yeah? Are you bullshit? Tem? Salute to the guy the punch Junkie, Chief MMA correspondent, my brother in a building. What's up with you? Bro Hey? Man, it is the first day of the sixth month of the year twenty twenty six. Are you bullshitting? Yeah? That's all you feel me? And y'all still bullshit? Man? This time is going, it's going going about to be gone. Salute to you all though. So just a reflection, man. Last month we really honed in on talking about focus. Man. We were focused, man, and we did a lot of work the month of June. Man, we're gonna we're gonna turn that. We're gonna kick it up a notch. You feel me, were gonna kick it. We're gonna kick it up a notch. Right, last month was really about the structure and about focus. You feel me, And if you go back before that, well, let's do it the other way. Let's do it in order, man, because this month. Well, let's say awareness reveals the truth. You gotta be aware. Awareness creates choices. So we started off talking about awareness. You understand what I'm saying. Then discipline builds habits. So we talked about discipline and habits. Then purpose sects the direction. You understand what I'm saying is we really focused in on purpose and this is this If you've been following the work we've been doing, this is what we've been doing. And then we got uh, we went into ownership produces results. It was all about ownership. Then we moved last month into structure and how structure sustains your focus. It was all about structure, all about all about focus. You understand what I'm saying. This month, we're gonna hone in on how execution turns intention into reality. June is about doing the work repeatedly, closing the gap between plans and results, and proving that con consistency, not motivation, creates mastery. June is about execution and consistency. Execution turns intention into reality. You feel me. That's where we locking in And I figured, why not come in here early and and piss everybody off, Like I'm just gonna tell you the truth. Piss everybody off, you feel me, And I can come in here and I can poke my chest out. You understand what I'm saying. And I can look everybody square in the face and I can say, you're not waiting for a better idea. You are avoiding the work now. Top of the day that y'all, man, grab your coffee, grab you and grab grab your favorite born in beverage, and let's get straight to the work. No of that, The Great came in already and said, bars, let's get straight to work. A lot of a lot of us are telling ourselves. A lie. We're telling ourselves was a lie, not necessarily intentionally, not maliciously, but it's a lie nonetheless, And a lot that you tell yourself sounds like this. I just need a little more information, you feel me. I just need a little more information. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yea yeah yeah yeah yeah. I just I need a better plan. I need a better plan. Let me turn my headphones up so I can hear make sure y'all can hear me? Turn my headphones up? Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, yah. Need I need a better plan. I just need more clarity. I need I need to figure a few things out. I didn't come to play with y'all today for real, I need to figure a few things out. I'm just I'm just waiting for the right time. And on the surface, that shit sound reasonable. Yeah, it sound good. That shit sound reasonable. But sometimes more times than not, your truth is much much, much more simp you feel me, it's much more simpler. You're not waiting for a better idea, You're avoiding the work. And that's the conversation this morning, Because if we were to be honest, you feel me, if we were to be honest, many of us already know what needs to happen. We already know what needs to happen. We already we already know. We already know what needs to happen. We know what habits need to change, We know what conversations need to happen. We know what goals actually matter. We know what distractions need to go. We know what priorities deserve your attention. We know what priorities deserve our attention. The problem isn't always the knowledge. The problem is execution, and execution requires something many of us spend our lives avoiding. Salute A La la d in the building came in with the emoji. Execution, La La Di. Execution requires something that many of us spend our lives avoiding. Jared O Elevan Green, what's up with you? Homie? What is it? What is it? What is it? Nah? Y'all asked me. I just said a lot y'all asked me what is it? So let me say it again. Your execution requires something that you spend your life avoiding. And I'll wait for you to ask me what it is because I ain't gonna give it up like that. You got to get in here and you got to interact with me. Mm hmm. Execution requires something many people spend their lives avoiding. Execution, Nola, requires something. You're such an educator, she put, what is it? An exclamation point? Had to come back and self correct. You feel me had the self correct. Execution requires something that you La lah Nella, Jared Olevan Green Junior, the guy. It requires something that we spend our lives avoiding. Nicker Boxing, what's up with you? Nickerboxing? Um salute to a ninety seven B. I heard I spoke to you already. Stormorrio Sports Mahari Next god Lee Mahari Nation Sports Podcast, My Little Brother in the building, Mahari. Your execution requires something that you spend your life trying to avoid. Everybody said, what is it? I will give y'all drum all, but I ain't got it. Discomfort. Let's get it one. So I'm hustled harder than the moment. I'm a feast on these streets. Got a revolver. I talk for these niggas. Try to take me off the block where I points up daily sit, Bailey's out the bottles smoke. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It requires this comfort. My brother said, Consistencyladi said this comfort, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah yeah. It's this this, this comfort, this comfort. Execution requires discomfort. Execution ain't comfortable by any stretch of imagination. One of the biggest mistakes people make about confusing knowledge with progress. One of the biggest mistakes people make is confusing knowledge with progress. Those are not the same thing. They're not the same thing. You can know something and still never apply it. You can know something and still never apply it. You can read twenty books on discipline and still lack discipline. You feel me. You can watch videos on Focus all day and still live a distracted life period. You can listen to podcasts about success all day and still avoid the behaviors necessary to create success. Yeah, because information doesn't automatically create transformation. Application does. And that's why you feel stuck for years. That's why you feel stuck for years, not because information. It's because you're collecting information instead of implementing. You're a hoarder. I Hey, did I just call you a hoarder? Nobody's gonna call you a hoarder today? You feel me so on this On the first day of the six month of the year twenty twenty six, I'd like to officially call you a hoarder. You are an information hoarder. Sounds like I'm calling you a whore. That makes me giggle on the inside parts. Yeah, you're you're a whore, Dirt. You're a whore. I know why you did it because you're a whore dirt. Shout out to my brother Nick guy. I know why you did it because you're a whore, dirt. Oh that feel that makes me giggle on the inside part. Now, I ain't playing you, whore, Dirt. You are collecting information instead of implementing it. Salute the snipe, what's up with your snipe? Salute for our sniper in a building came in dropping the theme emoji. You're researching, you're planning, you're preparing, you're thinking, you're imagining, you're dreaming, you feel me, you're talking, you're circling the wagons, you're telling everybody your plans and what you fin to do because you're a whore therk, but you're not doing. You're doing everything but doing, and eventually planning becomes a hiding place. All that planning becomes a hiding place. I just hear somebody with a rock. You can just don't don't even say out, just put a damn. I was about to say, Jared Olevangreen, don't say ouch, man, just put the just put a coffee cup emoji. Man, get my theme emoji. Planning becomes a hiding place. So you got that book with that note book, with all the information that you've been collecting for years, and you just write it down and you're like, yeah, I'm gonna yeah, I'm gonna do that. Yeah, yeahead. Because you're a whore dir Planning becomes a hoidening place for horrores. It feels productive, but it produces nothing. It feels productive, but it produces shit. Respectfully, you're a whore. Dir You're collecting information, but you're not implementing a motherfucking thing because you're a whore, Dirk. Now, let's talk about something interesting. Most people think clarity is the answer. If I could just get clear, if I knew exactly what to do, if I had the perfect plan that would that then everything would change. And that's why you got these people who are out here looking at you, and you look like a big ass. You get like a big old lamb chop, like on the cartoon when the lion look at somebody and they turn into a lamb chop and they licked their lips. Because people know that they can give you some bullshit information because you're looking for a shortcut, and they can put their hand in your pocket. You feel me. So that's why you have all these I'm trying not to hurt nobody's feelings, like I'm trying not to hurt nobody's feelings. But it's it's it's it's the first day of the six month of the year twenty twenty six, and it's time to stop bullshitting. That's why you got all these life coaches. You feel me. You got all these yat these therapists. You got all these motherfucking these people who's selling you hacks, these gurrules. You feel me because they understand that you're a whore their and so they can say they can literally sell you something because you're an easy lick. You feel me. But anyway, that so, so that's a whole nother We'll go deeper. We'll go deeper in this over on the Simple Truth network. Y Ya gotta start bring your ass off into the network. Anyway, Uh, this is salut qu underscore my brother in the building, what's up with you, hommy? If I just if I had the perfect plan, so you'll pay somebody thousands of dollars to give you the perfect plan, which is the same plan that they gave somebody. So let me ask. Let me tell you something. If I gave La La duh, if I charge La La, I d one thousand dollars for a plan you feel me, and I gave it's the same plan that I gave Jared or even Green, which is the same plan that I gave Nollah the Great, which is the same plan that I gave Thrive and glow with Joe. You feel me? How effective and impactful is that is? It worth one thousand dollars if I'm giving the same people the same plan. Sound like a scam to me because everybody's life is different, but you fall for it because you're a whore their and so you need information to avoid doing the work, because planning becomes a hiding place. If I had the perfect plan, that everything would change. But that's not true. That's not true. I've met plenty of people who were crystal clear. They knew exactly what needed to happen, and they still didn't do it. Myself, I have been clear, crystal clear. I can see this shit clearly. I know exactly what I know what I need to be doing right now. I know exactly what I need to do to get this platform and to do get this shit exactly where I need it to be. You feel me so that I can literally pull everything away from my place so I can literally sit here and create content all day. I know everything I need to do to build out the network. I know everything I need to do to build this platform. I know everything I need to do to get this course up and ready. I know everything I need to do for the boot camp. I know everything that I need to do to convert everything that I'm trying to all the stuff that wakes me up, and not I know exactly what it is I need to do. I'm crystal fucking clear, and I still haven't done it. Why Because clarity is not the hard part. Execution is. Execution is. Execution is the hard part. Clarity ain't compare to execution. Clarity ain't about shit. Clarity is not the hard part. Execution is. The difficult part isn't knowing. The difficult part is acting when action feels uncomfortable, and that's where people start. Do you understand how uncomfortable it is for me to I'm speaking personally, for me to put everything on the back burner for this short period of time and build this motherfucker like I need to build it. You understand how uncomfortable it's gonna be to miss practices, to possibly miss gains, to possibly not doing the stuff that I'm accustomed to doing for my children in order to build this. Nah. Nah. The difficult part is acting when action feels uncomfortable, and that's where people stall. That's where we stall, That's where you stall. Because execution creates exposure. Now your effort can be judged. Now your results become visible. Now failure becomes possible. See, failure is not possible when you're still in the planning phase because you're planning so that you won't fail. You feel me. So planning is not possible when you're still planning and you're not execution executing. But once you start motion in motion and you start executing, now failure becomes possible. Now accountability becomes real, you feel me, and for most of us, and for you, for your ass, avoiding the work feels safer than risking disappointment because you've been disappointed so much in your life. You understand what I'm saying. Yeah, yeah, yeah, So for you, avoiding work feels safer than risking the disappointment. But here's the problem. Avoidance creates its own plan. Avoidance creates its own plan because every day you avoid the work, you reinforce the belief that you're not going to do it. Every day you don't get that shit done, Nela, you reinforce the thought and the belief in your own head that your ass ain't gonna do it every day, every day, every day, every day you avoid the work, you reinforce the belief that you're not gonna do it, and eventually, eventually dollars the donuts I am. I am forty eight years old. I never took a day off. I've seen it, I've experienced it, I've witnessed it, I've felt it. Eventually, you stop trusting yourself. And when you stop trusting yourself, that's a dangerous place to be in. Yeah, yeah, all right, all right, all right, all right, al right, I gotta get out of here. Enough is enough, God damn it, hey man, say let's shift the conversation. Let me get let me get off, let me get off my shitt the conversation. Because execution, it's really it's not really about productivity. It's not about productivity. It seems like it's about productivity. It's not about productivity. Yeah, it's about It's about commitment. Execution says I meant what I said. Execution says this matters enough to me to act on it. Execution says I'm willing to be uncomfortable for what I want. And that's why execution is powerful. It transforms your intentions into evidence. You feel me physical When I do that, I don't mean money, I mean something. You could touch some you could feel somebody. Whoo wo get y'all mother fucker's particularly fingers. Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's why execution is powerful, because it transforms intentions into evidence. Yeah. Anybody can have goals, anybody can have ideas, and anybody can make declarations. That's why you can sit there and you can you know, the most brilliant motherfuckers be the high motherfuckers. Hey man, I think I can figure out how to turn water in the jet fuel. Fuck this whole industry up, motherfuckers, be brilliant in the motherfucker. Anybody can have ideas. You feel me, motherfuckers, smoke dope and get ideas. Seven on fold, Joe, what's so with you? Hommy salute to everybody tune in life, excuse me. Shout out to the replay game replay gang in the building replay game, y'all dropped that emoji and let me know, y'all drop that coffee cup of moji and let me know that you're rocking. And shout out to the podcast family hashtag Junior Mafia. Me first, I mean my first, love me, love for me, Lee, and thank y'all so much, y'all running them podcast numbers up, y'all, running them up, running them up. Anyway. Anybody can have ideas. Anybody can make declarations, fina declarations. When I say declarations, y'all gotta remind me to bring this shit that's defina. Do I mean I'm final? I'm finer. Execution is what separates desire from commitment. It require It separates desire from commitment. And honestly, that's where your standards show up, because standards don't ask do I feel like it? Standards ask is this what I is? This? What I said matters? You feel me? Yeah? What I said it matters. That's different. A standard doesn't require motive motivation every day. It doesn't. A standard requires alignment. You feel me? And execution is often the visical, the visible expression of a lot. Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, my heart said. They can have the idea of how to blow things up, but do they have the ability to execute the idea into reality? Bro? When you say blow things up, like, what do you mean? You know you're an immigrant, bro, respectfully, so I need that. I need to What do you mean blow things up? You mean like how to make things popular? Or do you mean like colue you feel me? Because if you mean how to make things reality and then cool? But if you're talking about blowing shit up, then you know I'm gonna have to know the fight the authorities. I ain't even bullshit saluting my brother, my heart. Next sports podcast. All right, let's tell the truth. I gotta go. Most of us already know where our next breakthrough is hiding. Like you know where your breakthrough is hiding. It's hiding inside the work you've been avoiding. Is hiding in the inside the work that you've been avoiding, the phone call, the workout, the budget, the project, the conversation, the habit, the schedule, the boundary, you feel me, the commitment. We often think our next level requires something new, like you think next your next level requires something new, a new idea, a new strategy, a new opportunity. Sometimes it don't. A whole lot of times it don't. It doesn't. It does not require that. Sometimes it just requires execution on what you already know. And that's uncomfortable, you feel me, because action removes excuses. Once you start doing the work, the truth becomes visible, and honestly, that's what you fear. It stop failure, it's the truth, the truth because execution reveals rather the goal really matters to you or not execution reveals rather the goal really matters to you or not. Yeah, so let's make this practical. If you're feeling stuck right now, Like, if you're feeling stuck right now, ask yourself one question. What work have I been avoiding? What work have I been avoiding? I was about to push something on the sound, but I don't even want to do that. What if you're feeling stuck right now in your life on the first day of the sixth month of the year twenty twenty six, if you feel stuck, what work have I been avoiding? Not what idea do I need? What book do I need? What strategy do I need? What work am I avoiding? That's it? What work am I avoidant? Then you just choose one action? Y'all know, I'm simple. One action. One, not twenty, not ten, not five, not even three. Just one. Choose one action and do it today, not perfectly, not dramatically. You know, y'all get all dramatic and shit, Not dramatically, just intentionally, because momentum is built through action, not contemplation. That's it. And y'all gonna have to rewind that, man and hear that again, because I'm closing this out. This conversation is simple, but it matters. You may not. You don't need another idea. I don't think you need another breakthrough. I don't think you need another plan. I think your ass just simply need to execute. And I say that with all due respect. I just think you need to execute because results don't respond to potential. Results don't respond to your intentions. Results don't respect on to your plans. Results respond to action. Yeah, So here's a question. I'm gonna leve you with. What work have you have you been avoiding that could change your life if you finally did it? What work have you been avoiding that could change your life if you finally did it. Sit with that, be be honest about it, and then go act yeah yeah, yeah, yeah yeah, Then go act. Salute to A ninety seven B. He said, I'm he said, I'm making something cool. I'll share it soon. Salute bro. What's up with it? Big dass? What's up with you? Hummy? What work have you been avoiding that could change your life if you finally did it. Sit with that, and then don't forget when you figure what that is, go back to act like I told you, Go back and act one action. That's it. Run it back, get to get to get the script there and run it back. You can get the prescription there. Sit with that, be honest about it, and then act because around here we are no longer just collecting data because you're a whore, Dirk. We're not collecting data. We execute.
