Generation X, we did what we were told to do.
Work hard. Be responsible. Build a career. Pay your bills. Raise your family. Buy the house. Keep pushing.
We followed the formula.
So why are so many of us reaching this stage of life feeling stuck, exhausted, unfulfilled, and wondering what the hell happened?
In this episode of Just a Thought... w/ Junior, Junior speaks directly to Generation X about an uncomfortable realization: maybe the life we were taught to pursue wasn't necessarily designed to produce the life we actually wanted.
We learned how to survive.
We learned how to work.
We learned how to handle responsibilities and take care of everybody else.
But somewhere along the way, many of us forgot to ask a much more important question:
Is this actually the life I want?
This isn't about blaming our parents, society, employers, or anybody else for where we are. We're too grown for that.
It's about recognizing that Self-Mastery requires us to examine the script we've been following and decide whether it still deserves control over the second half of our lives.
Maybe you did everything “right.”
Maybe you're still unhappy.
Both things can be true.
The good news?
We're still here.
There's still time to question the formula, redefine success, raise our standards, make different decisions, and intentionally build what's next.
Generation X, we've been had.
Now the question is:
What are we going to do about it?
It's simply a thought.
