In this OFF THE CUFF episode of The Black Coffee Club Morning Show™, JuniorTheTruth doubles down on the conversation about confidence vs. arrogance, self-belief, humility, Self-Mastery, and knowing your value.
For many of us—especially in Generation X—we’ve spent decades developing experience, surviving failures, learning lessons, building skills, and earning wisdom. Yet some of us still minimize what we know because we’re afraid that confidently acknowledging our strengths will make us look arrogant.
But confidence and arrogance are not the same.
Confidence says: “I know what I bring.”
Arrogance says: “What I bring makes me better than you.”
Real confidence has receipts. It’s built through preparation, experience, promises kept, failures survived, lessons learned, and standards maintained.
And genuine confidence still leaves room to say:
“I was wrong.”
“I don’t know.”
“Teach me.”
“I need help.”
That isn’t weakness. That’s security.
Today’s challenge is to ask yourself:
Where have I been shrinking something I legitimately earned because I’m afraid somebody might call me arrogant?
Your experience? Your expertise? Your leadership? Your voice? Your accomplishments?
You don't have to become louder.
You don't have to put anybody beneath you.
Just stop apologizing for standing where you’ve earned the right to stand.
